Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the enrichment centre’s curriculum.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education/ Teacher Certificate, Diploma or other Teacher Accreditation courses and certification, or relevant field.
• Prior experience teaching in an enrichment centre or similar educational setting.
• 1-2 year of proven experience in teaching mathematics/ science at the primary or early secondary school level.
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to engage young learners effectively.
• Passion for education and commitment to the academic and personal development of students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiar with Singapore’s education system and curriculum frameworks (PSLE & early Secondary).

The successful candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary team working on the development of new biomarkers and image analysis methods for cancer diagnosis and precision medicine. His/her main responsibility is to develop and apply novel AI and ML models and methods for analyzing large multiplex tissue images and spatial transcriptomic and metabolomic data collected from cancer patients. The Ocular Epidemiological Research Group at SERI conducts ophthalmic epidemiologic research in Singapore and Asia under the Singapore Epidemiology of Eye Diseases (SEED) programme collectively involving over 10,000 study subjects, with comprehensive clinical, image and genetic data. One of the projects including SEED data is ‘Diabetes studY in Nephropathy And other Microvascular cOmplications (DYNAMO-II)’. DYNAMO-II aims to determine the longitudinal relationship between retinal imaging parameters and long-term risk and progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and determine the predictive value of retinal vascular imaging measures in identifying patients at risk of CKD, and other adverse outcomes including renal failure, cardiovascular disease and deaths using both data-derived machine learning and retinal image-based “deep learning” algorithms with validation in different local and international cohorts. DYNAMO also includes a clinical cohort that recruits diabetic patients from clinics to predict the progression of CKD.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform data analyses including (but not limited to) data harmonization, data visualization, survival analyses, regression, and predictive modelling (traditional as well as machine learning models)

A*STAR is spearheading a series of Strategic Research & Translational Thrust (SRTT) that harnesses its multidisciplinary expertise to undertake a focused research mission. In this position, you will be a member of Quantum Photonics and Information group and mainly work on continuous variable (CV) based on quantum information technology.

In this role, you will work on the following but not limited to:

• Development of high-performance sources to generate squeezed light.
• Characterizing the squeezed light.
• Continuous variable (CV) quantum information.
• Large cluster state generation & characterization.
• Collaborate with other group members to exploit the advantages of CV quantum systems in various applications.
• Quantum metrology & sensing.
• Data processing, programming, and automation of lab setups.
• Scientific dissemination (journal papers, conferences, and patents)

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree in physics/optics, or closely related fields
• Candidate with relevant experience or PhD training experience are welcome to apply.
• Substantial hand-on experience in experimental research in quantum optics and quantum information is advantageous.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment for quantum optics experiments, including lasers, optical components, and detectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to present research findings clearly and concisely.

Decision Science colleagues will serve as a key member of the Credit and Fraud Risk organization. This critical team is responsible for managing enterprise risks throughout the customer lifecycle, across our consumer and commercial businesses, and across all our global products. We develop industry-first data capabilities, build profitable decision-making frameworks, create machine learning-powered predictive models, and improve customer servicing strategies.

Our Decision Science teams use industry leading modeling and AI practices to predict customer behavior. Responsibilities:

• Work with massive amounts of digital data (Web, App, API) and sophisticated tools in an industry leading Big Data environment.

Qualifications:

• Expertise in an analytical language (Python, R or the equivalent), and experience with databases (Hive, SQL, or the equivalent). Knowledge of SAS is a plus but not required.
