Job Description

The incumbent will provide administrative support to the Undergraduate Studies Section, Dean's Office, Faculty of Science. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following -

1) Faculty Co-ordinator for timetabling

• Keep abreast of Science Faculty Curriculum Committee (SFCC)/Board of Undergraduate Studies (BUS)/University Committee on Educational Policy (UCEP)/Senate approved proposals to facilitate planning and scheduling of classes and examinations.
• Coordinate with departments for planning of following academic year's timetable in the Class and Examination Timetabling System (CMIS).
• Update class and examinations timetable changes as and when required.
• Work with departments to verify accuracy of data and resolve any issues for the purpose of Student Feedback Exercise.

2) Pre-examination preparation and during examination support

• Plan and coordinate examination activities for each Academic Year according to the timelines and deadlines stipulated by Registrar's Office.
• Coordinate system updates for examinations related information and ensure data is appropriately entered.
• Act as liaison between Registrar's Office and departments to ensure that all necessary information are disseminated and shared with all parties involved.
• See to the examinations logistical requirements as well as arrangements for students with special needs.

3) Post-examination activities

• Coordinate and work closely with departments to complete the necessary checks and comply with the examinations processing schedule stipulated by Registrar's Office.
• Perform the duties of Faculty's Board of Examiners Secretariat and ensure that decisions made are updated accurately and quickly in Edurec and followed through.
• Plan, conduct and prepare report for examinations audit.

4) Undergraduate Studies Section duties

• To be rostered for section duties such as taking notes of regular section meetings, replying to email enquiries from students, and counter duties.

5) Others

• Provide assistance at University/Faculty level events such as Open House, Freshmen Orientation Briefing, and Commencement.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Vice Dean.

The Signature Research Programme in Emerging Infectious Diseases (EID) aims to pioneer the development and discovery of new and more effective methods for the treatment, prevention and control of new and emerging pathogens. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and talented research assistant/associate to work on research focusing on identifying novel therapies for treatment of acute myeloid leukemia in the laboratory of Dr Shruti Bhatt at the NUS (http://pharmacy.nus.edu.sg/tenure-track-faculty/). The candidate will be an integral member of our research team and will work under the direct supervision of Dr Shruti Bhatt (https://pharmacy.nus.edu.sg/team/asst-prof-shruti-bhatt/) to support ongoing studies including identifying clinical response to targeted therapy in leukemia using BH3 profiling. Opportunity to perform high-throughut chemical screens on cell lines and patient-derived tumor cells. We are looking to hire someone who is interested in doing wet lab experiments. The candidate will be trained in the lab however, prior experience will be given first preference.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

a) Research tasks: 90%

• To perform cell-based assay such as apoptosis, cytoxociity, cell proliferation, immunophenotyping, BH3 profiling.

The Global Centre for Asian Women’s Health (GloW) aims to build a global research platform for transdisciplinary endeavours to address major health concerns over a woman's lifespan and across generations. Through its main hub in Singapore, the Centre will engage in multi-disciplinary research to promote women’s health, including a series of diet and lifestyle intervention studies.

Purpose of the role

The project coordinator/manager will play a key role in dietary intervention studies by actively managing and coordinating diet and lifestyle intervention studies in GloW. Responsibilities include development, implementation and monitoring of meal plans, educating participants as needed, collecting dietary data, and performing administrative duties to ensure the studies’ success and compliance. The staff will work closely with Principal Investigators of intervention studies, collaborate closely with the research team, food service team, and other relevant stakeholders, as well as undertake other ad-hoc responsibilities assigned by the Centre’s Director as needed.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The staff will hold a few key responsibilities, including

(1) Intervention study coordinator:

• Recruit and interview study participants for the intervention study
• Implement methods for collecting dietary data, including detailed food intake records and compliance monitoring.

(2) Nutritional Intervention study monitoring:
