What the day will look like

As the Head of Data & Analytics APAC, you will manage a team to deliver Data & Analytic capabilities to the Aon business. You will lead, develop and maintain the data and analytics strategy for the region working to enhance efficiency, execution and colleague experience. Working as part of a global function, this role involves building stakeholder relationships, driving a modernisation of data analytic tools, as well as driving the development, implementation and promotion of data governance and quality frameworks and strategies.

Stakeholder Relationships

Skills and Experience that will lead to success

• Experience in BI, analytics, data analytics with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Experience within finance / insurance preferred.
• Experience working in a large, complex environment, with a range of stakeholders, across multiple business units
• Background in data-related field: data analysis and visualisation, data quality, data warehousing, data engineering, financial reporting.
• Strong affinity with, and interest in new trends in AI & Data (including Data Governance and quality)
• Superb communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information optimally
• Expertise with relational databases, warehousing and lake-house technology - SQL Server, Oracle, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Blob Storage / AWS S3.
• Extensive understanding of data management. Including awareness of the security, privacy, ethics and quality requirements for data, and data analysis techniques.

Key Accountabilities

• Analyze and map terminal processes to identify inefficiencies and document workflows.
• Develop the best fit process documentation and optimization. You will lead process standardization efforts across the terminals and streamlined operations.

Qualifications, Skills And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems, or related fields. Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma are preferred.
• TOS training or experience with port/logistics management systems is a plus.
• 5 years’ relevant experience in port operations, terminal systems, logistics, or supply chain.
• Advanced knowledge of TOS configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Proficient in data analysis tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau.
• Experience in project management for system and process improvements.

Project Master Data Creation & Maintenance

• Create and maintain SAP master data for grants and funds (e.g. WBS, fund, cost centre) in a timely manner upon request from stakeholders and in accordance with SOPs
• Verify the completeness and accuracy of supporting documents provided by stakeholders.
• Liaise with stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies in master data or documentation.
• Perform closing and re-opening of project codes timely as required to facilitate operations.
• Perform checks on master data, flagging exceptions for follow-up and resolution.
• Ensure projects/grants documentation (e.g. Letter of Awards, variation approvals) are well organised and maintained.

Management Reporting

• Prepare monthly management reports to Management and supporting entities
