What you will do:

RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:

The Senior Manager, Head of Pre- Sales engineering: Global Centre of Excellence (GCoE), APAC will assist in driving the overall adoption of engineering standards and growth of our Centers of Excellence across our APAC organization. They will do this by creating partnerships, interfacing with our innovation and product development teams to help streamline processes and establish standard and simple flows between our sales teams and the CoE Network.

How you will do it:

Driving Adoption and Growth

• Establish ties to all APAC sub-regions across JCI’s product and offering, to support solutions and pre sales engineering to the respective sales teams and win with our customers.
• Help communicate awareness of the CoE deliverables & capabilities and better enable the enterprise sales support by expanding global CoE network.
• Standardize process improvement activities to help identify quick wins that support building long term strategies that drive sales growth.

Manage seamsless connection pf CoE Global Network Connection to Global Lifecycle Solutions

• To be the bridge between between the CoE Sales Support Network and the Buildings, Technologies and Life cycle solutions usiness by providing timely feedback on commercialization of products and services.
• Help prove proof of concept for the sales support of new products and services.
• Prepare the CoE’s pre/post-sales engineering teams to support all new product and innovation.
• Track involvement via SFDC to ensure it is shared with the greater team.
• In conjunction with the CoE and APAC commercial and all engineering teams, develop and maintains the long term sales support strategy.

Standardize and Deliver

• Lead and manage teams to drive consistent process through the CoE Network to ensure simplifications, repeatable process, efficiencies and workload balancing are scalable an implemented throughout the Johnson Controls Enterprise.
• Manage sales support optimization efforts by being an advocate for CoE capabilities, understanding issues and opportunities by product type and leading the execution of sales support optimization programs.
• Identifies best sales support practices and facilitates the propagation of these practices throughout the business.
• Continually performs evaluations to identify future opportunities for improvement and barriers to achieving strategic and financial objectives.

What we look for:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar focus from an accredited university.
• Strong understanding of Johnson Controls products and offering across Building Industry segments.
• Knowledge of JCI BAS and Digital Solutions products.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees/management. Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills with strong problem solving capabilities.
• Ability to own, drive and run new projects.
• Understanding of Pre & Post Sales Engineering practices and able to drive consistency in complex global situations.

• Excellent PC skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point. Willingness to travel (30%).

Job Responsbililties

• Discover and explore business opportunities in the pioneering new energy and decarbonization space. Projects are centered around carbon capture utilization and sequestration and low carbon fuels (e.g. hydrogen, ammonia and sustainable aviation fuels) in Singapore and the region
• Build market position by identifying, defining, developing, and closing business relationships
• Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements
• Screen potential business deals by analyzing technical requirements, designs, market strategies, deal requirements, and financials
• Evaluate technical options and optimize technical designs to enhance commercial economics

Job Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Chemical, Environmental Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in related areas
• Good market knowledge on hydrogen/ammonia or CCUS-related topics
• Relevant hands-on experience in designing developing technical and financial models for projects will be advantageous
• Excellent written and communication and presentation skills and proficient in Microsoft Words, Excel and Powerpoint
• Able to work independently as well as a good team-player
• Good problem-solving skills and able to cope with executing multiple tasks within assigned schedule
• Suitably qualified candidates will be considered for Deputy Manager position

Description

Under general supervision, manages multiple internal projects involving a single discipline or department.

Drives various components of project planning and execution on multiple projects such as completion of multiple detailed project specifications.

Leads project activities across functional groups. Ensures that project deliverables are properly completed and directly impacts cost containment, efficiency or profitability of operations.

• To guide consultant and review their design to ensure the design adequacy to meet the relevant requirements and the project’s preference.
• To present / clarify the design results to the client and other stakeholders and obtain their consensus.
• To optimize the design to reduce cost and construction schedule effectively.
• To complete all design works including necessary approvals without adversary affecting the tender/construction schedule.
• To coordinate with construction team to make sure the feasibility and constructability of designed scheme.
• To train and enhance capabilities of design engineers/managers.
• To collect information on the future projects.
• To act as a team member of “productivity enhancement team” which is expected to enhance/improve site productivity.

Requirement:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the PE Board
• At least 15-year experience in related design and engineering field.
• At least 12-year experience in design of civil and structures of large-scale projects (S$100mil)
• Prior work experience in Singapore is an advantage.
• Must have knowledge is Auto-CAD, MS Excel and Words.
• Knowledge in SAP2000 and other design software is desirable.
• Understand international and domestic standards for design work (e.g. British standard, Singapore standard and other off-shore design standard etc)
• Experience for marine structure D&B plant project is advantage.
• Experience for overseas ODA project is advantage.
