As a Sports Operations (Intern) at the World Aquatics Championships 2025 (WCH2025), you will have a role in planning and ensuring seamless Sports Operations. Your primary responsibilities include but not limited to researching sports and athletes to enhance commentary resources. Your responsibilities include ensuring the fairness and efficiency of competitions and maintaining the championship's integrity. Our commitment to excellence drives our team forward.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Competition Planning and Execution
• Involve in planning and execution of sports competition WCH2025.
• Collaborate with the Functional Lead of Sports Operations to develop a comprehensive competition plan.
• Ensure that all aspects of the competition, including scheduling, venue setup, and officiating, align with World Aquatics' Rules and Regulations.
2. Innovation and Process Improvement
• Propose innovative ideas to enhance and streamline processes.
• Continuously seek opportunities for improvement in the planning and execution of the competition.
3. Team Management and Service Support
• Work closely with the Athlete Services team to provide support and information to participating athletes.
• Address any athlete concerns or inquiries related to the competition.
4. Technical Coordination
• Assist in the setup of equipment, timing systems, and electronic scoreboards.
• Ensure that all technical aspects of the competition comply with governing body regulations.
5. Venue Setup, Compliance and Safety
• Assist in the venue setup, including lane assignments, seating arrangements, and spectator areas.
• Ensure the venue is prepared for competition, training sessions, and warm-up sessions.
• Ensure that all competition activities adhere to the rules and regulations of the governing bodies.
• Collaborate with the safety and medical teams to establish safety protocols and emergency response plans.
• Ensure the safety of athletes, officials, and spectators during the competition.
6. Timing, Scoring and Results Management
• Accurate recording of competition results and the maintenance of records.
• Coordinate with the Timing, Scoring, and Results team to publish results promptly.

• Familiarity with the aquatic sports industry is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel as needed during the event, including weekends.
