The Institute of Sustainability for Chemicals, Energy and Environment (ISCE2) was established by A*STAR in 2022 to support Singapore's sustainability goals, including the Singapore Green Plan and Zero Waste Masterplan, through strong international partnerships with industry, public agencies, and academia. ISCE2 is located at Jurong Island.

You will play a key role in supporting the monthly manpower report, grant management, grant utilisation and financial planning of ISCE2. • Conduct weekly safety walk and monthly inspection program are conducted as per compliance and rectifications are completed promptly.
• Conduct periodic review of incident trends and effectiveness of safety performance and make recommendations for improvements.
• Keep abreast with safety incidents and share with staffs and management and recommend preventive actions.
• Responsible to update Global Safety System and ensure compliance with PEP program.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Grad Diploma, Professional Degree, Chemistry, Engineer (Chemical), Engineering (Environmental/Healthy/Safety), Engineering (Petroleum/Oil/Gas) or equivalent.
• Required to have Certificate for: Manhole Entry, Work At Height Assessor, Confined Space Assessor.
• At least 5 years of working experience in safety related field.
• Preferably managers specializing in Engineering – Chemicals, Maintenance/Repair (Facilities & Machinery) or equivalent.
• WSH Registered Officer.

Job Responsibilities:

HR Management
1. Manage onboarding for new hires (local and foreign), including setting up bank details, personal information, and orientation.
2. Administer dormitory contracts for foreign workers, ensuring compliance and managing renewals, check-ins, and check-outs.
3. Oversee recruitment and termination processes, including work permit and foreign pass applications/renewals for foreign workers and supervisors.
