Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring that all processes and procedures are executed efficiently and effectively
• Manage logistics, inventory, and supply chain activities to guarantee timely delivery of products and services
• Conducting thorough market research to identify opportunities for operational improvements and staying informed about industry trends and best practices
• Analyze operational data, customer feedback, and performance metrics to build successful strategies and improve operational performance
• Developing and refining operational policies, ensuring consistency across all activities, and creating compelling standard operating procedures (SOPs) that enhance productivity
• Overseeing staff training and development, ensuring a high level of competency and morale within the team
• Plan and execute projects, coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and other partners to ensure seamless execution
• Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources, and monitor expenditures and return on investment (ROI) for all activities

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Area Operations Manager to support the day-to-day operations within our organization. As an Assistant Area Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient functioning of F&B operations, overseeing a team of employees, and assisting the Area Operations Manager in executing strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, an analytical mindset, and a passion for improving operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Support: Assist the Area Operations Manager in the oversight of daily operational activities to ensure smooth functioning of the group of F&B Outlets.
• Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of staff members, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve high performance and productivity.
• Process Optimization: Help in identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements to increase operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
• Performance Monitoring: Assist in tracking operational performance metrics, preparing reports, and analyzing data to ensure KPIs and objectives are met.
• Staff Management: Ensure that employees follow company policies and procedures, maintaining high standards of professionalism, safety, and quality.
• Inventory and Resource Management: Support inventory control efforts and manage resources (equipment, tools, etc.) to maintain operational continuity.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to all regulatory, safety, and compliance standards across all operational activities.
• Project Coordination: Help coordinate and implement new initiatives, projects, or processes under the direction of the Area Operations Manager.

• Budgeting and Cost Control: Assist in managing the department's budget, ensuring costs are controlled and financial goals are met.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (HR, Sales, Logistics, etc.) to ensure operational alignment and smooth coordination across teams.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Food Hygiene Audit and Halal Competency Certificates will be advantageous
• Proven experience in F&B operations or a related role (2+ years preferred).
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify operational issues and solve problems effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with other operational management software such as POS .
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Supervising a team of retail assistants to ensure smooth operation
• Responsible for the sales of your category of products
• Handle inventory management, housekeeping and merchandising
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service and selling skills, keeping the selling floor stocked with merchandise, assisting in display of merchandise or organizing the selling floor and stock areas.
• Process payments by totaling purchases; processing cash or other credit cards
• Must also be able to deal with customer refunds courteously and professionally

Requirement:

Willing to work on roster based on retail hours.

Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Working hours:

• 6 days roster based (retail hour 10am to 10pm)
• 1 weekday off
