The selected candidate will process and perform quality check on meteorological data, monitor performance and support maintenance of operational systems, and disseminate timely meteorological data, forecasts, warnings and related information to local and international users with the objectives of supporting weather analysis and forecasting activities to meet the requirements of the aviation and shipping industry and general public, agencies and specific users. You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
[What you will be working on]
The job scope will include but not limited to the following:
Monitor the performance of various data processing and collection systems and equipment to ensure timely availability of data in support of weather monitoring and forecasting activities
Coordinate with external vendors/agencies during equipment or system outage and perform first line trouble-shooting for prompt restoration of system.
Collate, prepare and quality check operational aviation meteorological information
Consolidate and analyse statistics in support of the departments’ decision making process
Review of work processes to enhance the department’s services and increase productivity
Plan and manage a team of technical support officers’ staff training and development
Ensure products provided through Internet and web portals and network/communication services are timely, up-to-date and accurate
Perform archiving of data on specialised meteorological systems and where necessary, retrieve these data in support of special investigations and enquiries
Liaise and co-ordinate with contractors in the implementation, testing and monitoring of new systems to ensure that projects are completed within the specified timeline.
Manage maintenance contracts, including co-ordinating, supervising of vendors, and monitoring system performance to ensure high system availability.

Diploma in engineering/information technology/systems or equivalent
Good technical knowledge of remote sensing systems would be an added advantage

Troubleshooting – errors in content ingestion (capturing company data)
Educating partners on how to deliver content

Content ingestion – manipulating big data, running queries (most queries are written)
Maintaining team wiki
Ensuring quality of music content in platform – evaluate whether content are deemed legible according to organisation policies

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
As a Performance Operations System/FactSet Support, your main focus will be to support and maintain our FactSet Systems (B-One system and FactSet (SPAR/PA) system), used by the Performance team for the production of performance measurement, reporting and attribution analysis.
You will also support our enterprise-wide operating model for Performance & Analytics (“P&A”) Reporting, that would include integration with our proprietary database called HERA for downstream reporting in HERA and ATHENA Dashboards, and with our data providers (Fund Accountants & Middle Office Service Provider) for all data related queries & feeds.
In addition, you will have supplementary responsibilities that would include ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of investment performance and analytical reporting for various stakeholders, that include Portfolio Managers, Client Groups (Sales and Marketing), Senior Management and Local Business Units (LBUs).
Maintenance of our FactSet Systems: B-One system, and FactSet (SPAR/PA) system.
Conduct & support data reconciliation in between our FactSet Systems
Conduct, support & maintain set-ups, configurations, workflows and data checks in our FactSet Systems and in the P&A Operating Workflow
Investigate & resolve breaks and potential issues related to the P&A Operating Workflow, by identify root cause, by engaging stakeholders (FactSet counterparts, HERA engineers and Data Providers e.g. Fund accountants and Middle Office service provider) and by working towards proper resolution
Escalate timely errors, processes gaps and other inaccuracies as needed
Liase & work closely with the key stakeholders for re-designing process flows and for maintenance of our FactSet Systems and our P&A Operating Workflow
Maintain stakeholder relationships and manage expectations
Answer & support query on fund and benchmark returns, asset returns or attribution results
Ensure all new procedures are documented and agreed
Identify and execute continuous process improvement and automation
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
5 years relevant experience in support & maintaining Performance or Attribution system, for performance analysis, investment risk analysis or similar role
Experience in using Factset Systems (preferably FactSet (SPAR/PA/Vault) system, B-One is a plus)
Implementation / System Migration experience of a Performance or Attribution system is a plus.
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or similar field
Understanding of portfolio analysis including performance calculation methodologies and risk analytics
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, comfortable with complex formulas and financial instruments (eg: derivatives)
Strong knowledge of Excel and SQL queries
Good Python, C# and VBA skillset to support data transformation & workflow automation
CIPM or CFA is preferred (or working towards)
Language skills – English required, fluency in one or more asian languages will be a plus

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the Safe Permit Portal: - Oversee and maintain the Safe Permit portal, ensuring smooth operations and user accessibility.
Conduct Training:- Provide training sessions to external vendors and other stakeholders on Safe Permit procedures and protocols.
Compliance: - Ensure adherence to Safe Permit protocols and EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) regulations.
Familiar with risk assessment and method statements.
Patrol and check the office for cleanliness issues, safety (and security) hazards and document any irregularities:
Be the eyes and ears of the EHSS and soft services/hard services/ operations team. Maintain the general presentation of the office by appropriately notifying departments/owners responsible for the maintenance, or to self-perform the remedy immediately, regardless whether it is a temporary or permanent solution, and where it is possible to do so without compromising on safety and standards.
Report infractions immediately and according to procedure.
Report and log data on unusual occurrences such as property damage, injuries, theft, etc and create detailed incident reports in a timely manner:
Gather information in accordance with procedure and prepare incident reports within KPI or policy guidelines and free from errors.
Provide back-up support and cover to absent team members. Provide emergency on-site attendance as needed:
