Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the store, including the development and implementation of opening and closing procedures to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Responsible for driving optimal performance on the sales floor by enhancing the customer experience and maximizing profitability.
• Leading human resources functions such as recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management, including making hiring and termination decisions. Managing staff schedules, assigning roles and responsibilities, and establishing clear performance expectations through defined quotas and KPIs.
• Maintaining control over inventory levels, conducting regular stock counts, and ensuring proper stock rotation in line with seasonal changes, promotions, and sales initiatives. Overseeing the execution of shop specials and ensuring product availability to meet customer demand.
• Enforcing high standards of customer service by setting clear expectations for staff behavior and performance, and ensuring adherence to security and safety protocols. Developing and implementing emergency response procedures, including lockdown strategies, while ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations.

Overall Function:

The incumbent is expected to possess good knowledge of trade finance products, trade workflows and processes in particular handling of cross-border transactions. This function is in Trade Services Department (TSD) in Singapore with the focus to support TCF (Trade Commodity Finance) in their L/C Document checking function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform 1st and 2nd check (if applicable) of both Import and Export L/C documents
• Communicate & liaise with customers & ING back office on the check status of L/C documents
• Provide professional advice to the customers & internal teams on discrepancy/ies noted on the documents, fulfilling of terms and conditions in the L/C, and mitigating non compliance documents presentation after shipment
• Co-ordinate and work efficiently within the team
• Ensure daily tasks are executed as per SLA and Global work instructions and escalate to
• Team Head/HOD upon identification of deviations or the development of unexpected risk events during the workflow.
• Ensure adherence to ING’s procedures, policy and guidelines at all times.
• Propose areas of improvement in the team for the benefit of the team and other verticals.
• Assist in projects to improve work processes & migrations

Qualifications and Skills:

• Acceptable tertiary education.
• CDCS certified L/C Documents checker.
• At least 3 – 5 years of experience in handling both Import and Export L/C Documents checking.
• Microsoft office applications –MS word, excel, power point, access, visio etc.
• Knowledge of Swift Alliance and any main accounting system.
• Knowledge of ICC publications – UCP600, ISBP 821, ISP98, URR725, URC522.
• Knowledge of local region’s regulatory compliance and anti-money laundering policy.
• Possess effective communication skill to work with the teams and branch offices.
• Preferably with exposure to TCF business

• Support acquisition and marketing campaigns to meet commercial card acquisition targets.
• Follow up on inbound customer leads from various channels, including branches, campaigns, and contact centers.
• Assist clients in signing up for commercial debit and credit cards, as well as related commercial solutions.
• Address application inquiries and follow through with submissions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, such as the contact center, business support, legal, and compliance, to ensure a smooth application process.

• Serve as an internal expert on commercial card products, operational processes, technology, and SME/Midcap clients.
