Position Overview:

Primarily responsible for the procurement, sales, and marketing of thermal coal. The ideal candidate should have solid market knowledge, excellent negotiation skills, and extensive international trade experience, and be able to work in Singapore.

Main Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze supply and demand dynamics, price trends, and market opportunities in the thermal coal market.
• Gather and interpret industry reports, news, and other relevant information to provide market insights and forecasts.
• Handle the procurement of thermal coal, with a strong familiarity with mining resources, and establish long-term cooperative relationships with suppliers.
• Understand mining production conditions and supply capabilities to ensure stable and reliable procurement channels.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in International Trade, Marketing, Business Management, or related fields.
• At least 8 years of trading experience in thermal coal or related industries.
• Preferably with international market trading experience.
• Excellent market analysis and research skills, familiar with the dynamics of the thermal coal industry.
• Outstanding negotiation and contract management skills, capable of handling complex transactions efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain Single Page Applications (SPAs) using Angular or React.js alongside Node.js and TypeScript.
2. Utilize web bundling tools, especially Webpack, to enhance web application performance and bundle assets efficiently.
3. Integrate web applications with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third-party APIs to improve functionality and user experience.
4. Implement server-side development using .NET Core to create robust APIs.
5. Experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure AD B2C, Azure Container Registry (ACR), Azure Container Services, Azure Container App Instance, Azure App Service, and Azure DevOps.
6. Design and develop with relational database management systems (RDBMS) like MS SQL or PostgreSQL.
7. Familiarity with event-driven architecture using messaging systems such as RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or similar.
8. Experience with user authentication and authorization mechanisms, such as OpenID, OAuth, and JWT.
9. Write automated unit and integration tests using Jest, Jasmine, MS Test, NUnit, XUnit, or similar frameworks to ensure code reliability and maintainability.
10. Containerize web applications using Docker for easy deployment and scalability.
11. Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to translate Figma designs into HTML assets, ensuring seamless design integration.

Role Summary

We are looking to find a Manager, to be based out of our home offices in Singapore. You should have the right to work in Singapore. Note we will be hiring on a rolling basis and are currently looking for three manager roles in total across London, Accra, Washington DC, Dubai and Singapore, each for a fixed-term contract of 24 months.

In recognition of the growing client interest in solutions delivered with TBI partners, we are looking for talented managers to join a newly formed Partnerships Flex-Pool team. TBI works closely with our government clients and partners to innovate and accelerate delivery of results. We support our clients and partners to develop and activate proof-of-concepts and partner solutions, with an aim of rapid learning and iteration to implement at scale.

The Partnerships Flex-Pool, which this role will form part of, will provide interim, dedicated, in-country support (for deployments of between 3-6 months) to the scoping and delivery of new partnership proof-of-concepts and solutions, helping to pilot, test, deliver and scale. The remaining 6+ months will be spent in the home office, delivering other tasks relating to the activation and scale of partner solutions.

This role is ideal for candidates who have the demonstrated ability to create change through their work with private sector partners and government entities. Candidates must have the ability to operate with clients (together with country teams who hold those relationships) which include Ministers and senior government officials, as well as our tech and non-tech partners. Candidates must also be able to work across TBI with professionalism, confidentiality, integrity and diplomacy.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, Influencer Marketing Manager will manage our Influencer strategy across gifting, events and activations, and social content. You will be responsible for the development and performance of influencer marketing campaigns across social and offline channels.
