The role
Rystad Energy is recruiting for an Event Marketing Manager based in Kuala Lumpur or Jakarta. This role will collaborate with various business units and country teams in the Asia Pacific to ensure the right mix of events as part of the overall marketing strategy. It will be part of the marketing and communications team responsible for shaping and delivering strategies to drive brand awareness and support business growth.
Reporting to the Vice President, Head of APAC Marketing, the Events Marketing Manager is responsible for shaping all events in line with our messaging and new branding and implementing standards for excellence across all Rystad Energy events in the APAC region. He/she will be required to manage all details relating to event budgeting, messaging, agendas, logistics, on-site management, follow-up, and measurement.
Your responsibilities
- Short- and long-term planning and coordination of Rystad Energy events, including budget development and aligning common standards for excellence
- Plan and execute successful events of all sizes, including, but not limited to, summits, forums, briefings, tradeshows, webinars, and roundtables
- Create and manage a database to evaluate external events (tradeshows, conferences, speaking opportunities, etc.) and Rystad Energy’s strategy for involvement, aligned with the overall global marketing strategy and commercial objectives
- Align with the commercial team before, during, and after to ensure a successful event and that all onsite learnings are captured for future improvements
- Collaborate with other regions to ensure innovations are being adopted across all regions
- Establish yourself as the go-to person for clients and prospects when attending our events
- Improve and strengthen the professionalization of Rystad Energy’s internal and external events
Experience, skills, and personal qualities
- Bachelor / Master’s degree in relevant areas, e.g., Marketing, Events, Hospitality, Design, Business Administration
- Proven 5 – 7 years of work experience in a similar field/capacity
- Relevant B2B marketing experience
- Strong multi-tasker, problem-solving, strategic, analytical & project management skills
- Self-starter, collaborative, energetic, forward-thinking, creative, budget-focused, organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Other Asian languages (Eg. Japanese/Korean) will be advantageous.
- Working knowledge of using marketing automation and design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premier) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Open and willing to work in a matrix team structure
- Open to moderate amount of travelling
