Job Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centred care in line with the department's goal of delivering customized and evidence-based health screenings.
• Advise and perform health screenings and pre-employment medical examinations tailored to individual needs.
• Empower patients with knowledge on their health status and provide appropriate referrals for further follow-up, if needed.
• Assess fitness for employment through comprehensive medical evaluations.
• Perform statutory screenings and examinations, providing timely reports.
• Manage staff health, including handling illnesses, injuries, and exposures.

Job Requirements

• Basic Medical Degree and postgraduate qualifications in Family Medicine or Occupational Medicine, registrable with the Singapore Medical Council.
• Experience in primary care settings is an advantage.

[What the role is]

The Radiation Protection and Nuclear Science Group in NEA is the national authority for radiation protection in Singapore and serves to protect the public, radiation workers and the environment from the harmful effects of radiation. Its Regulation Division administers and enforces the Radiation Protection Act and its subsidiary Regulations through a system of licensing, inspection and enforcement. It also ensures that Singapore fulfils her obligations to relevant international conventions and agreements.

[What you will be working on]

The job scope will include but not limited to the following:

• Develop, review and enhance various radiological and nuclear emergency plans
• Procure and maintain response equipment and tools
• Develop and implement training programme
• Plan and conduct emergency exercises locally and regionally

[What we are looking for]

The job might be for you if you possess the following:

• Good Honours Degree in Physics/Chemistry or any engineering field
• 3-5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in emergency preparedness and response work, would be an advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good analytical, writing and presentation skills
• Able to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision
• Able to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines
• Able to adapt to changes and has a positive work attitude
• Highly motivated, meticulous, committed and takes initiative
• Aptitude to understand concepts in radiation protection
