• Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to procure necessary supplies, equipment, and services for UCC and SCS.

• Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports and documentation related to UCC and SOAR operations, and budget.

• Coordinate with University Wellbeing Office (UWO) to manage UCC’s budget, monitor expenses and ensure financial compliance

Requirements:

• Graduate qualification in counselling, counselling psychology or clinical psychology.

• Preferably a registered counsellor with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) or a registered psychologist with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS).

• About 3-4 years of professional counselling experience and competent in case management and critical incident management.

• Proficient in professional counselling approaches and tools to help clients with diverse issues and conditions

• Experience in working with young adults, preferable in a university setting

• Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team and conducting Continual Professional Development training for staff is advantageous.

• Experience in operations management, preferable in education or counselling environment.

• Strong attention to details and commitment to maintaining accuracy in all operational aspects.

• Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.

• Possess professional values that are in line with the Code of Ethics of SAC or SPS.

• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills

• Proficient in IT skills (e.g. Microsoft 365, use of Apps, appointment booking systems, case management systems)

Responsibilities

• Engagement and professional development of SM2 bridging students, ASEAN and Science & Engineering scholars to empower their successful transition and integration into NTU and Singapore.

• Student support and case management

  i. Work with School Care Managers and other NTU administrative departments, to identify and provide relevant support services to international students, both academic and non-academic.

  ii. Plan and organise training and activities for students, to help them better integrate academically and socially.

• University-wide integration efforts
  i. Lead the strategic planning and implementation of programmes and initiatives that inculcate the importance of diversity and integration.
  ii. Support the development and implementation of policies and practices which enhance integration within NTU.
  iii. Promotion and adoption of integrative practices within the NTU community.
  iv. Collaborate with and provide advice to student leaders/advocates, as well as faculty and staff, to educate and raise awareness on integrative practices. 

• Support the oversight of data collection and analysis, necessary for reports to regulators and NTU senior management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in any related field from a recognised University.

• At least 6 years of relevant experience which involves considerable interaction with students or youth.

• Experience in the tertiary education sector will be advantageous.

• Good working knowledge on the transition and integration of international students in higher education.

• Sensitive to and empathetic towards the transition and integration challenges faced by international students.

• Strategic, critical, and lateral thinking skills.

• Ability to adapt effectively in a complex and constantly changing environment.

• Communication, negotiation and influencing skills (written and verbal).

• Ability to work collaboratively with university students and colleagues from different cultural and disciplinary backgrounds.

• Strong drive to initiate, plan, implement and deliver integration initiatives on time and on target.

• Proficient in all Microsoft Office application software.
