2. FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily Operations

• Responsible for implementing and maintaining a safe, cost efficient and environmentally sound operation standard in compliance with TSM as well as International Marine regulations for a given number of vessels.
• To manage the daily operation of the number of vessels assigned to him in accordance with TMS & Best Practice.

HSSEQ

• Assisting Vessels for documenting / conducting Risk Assessments. Evaluation and Monitoring.
• Evaluate & document Off- Hire records (Planned as well as unplanned).
• Stores Supply & Budget Planning.
• Maintain strict cost control of the Annual Operating Budget for each of the assigned vessels.
• Review monthly cost control and approve monthly financial reports before sending to Fleet Group Manager for review.
• Assimilate input from the assigned vessels as well as other relevant departments and prepare each vessel’s Annual Operating Budget.
• Monitor the requisitions generated from the vessel to ensure that they are submitted in a timely manner. Follow up with the Purchasing Department for delivery of ordered items on board.

• Liaise with the Insurance Manager (or Principals) in H&M claims handling. Provide technical input, and cost information, if required, for P&I claims (cargo and crew) and H&M claims.

Crewing

• Make performance evaluations of Masters/ Chief Engineers assigned to the vessel under supervision.
• Provide input to the Manning Department on recruitment of Senior Officers for the assigned vessels.

Dry Docking & Repairs

• Plan, manage, monitor and execute vessels repairs, dry dockings and conversions within agreed budgets.
• Arrange and follow up repairs and services.
• Coordinate with the assigned vessels and prepare the dry docking specification in conjunction with Docking Superintendent, Fleet Services. Submit the specification to yards for quotations, evaluate the received quotations and present them to the Fleet Group Manager and/or Chief Operating Officer for review.
• Attend the dry-docking, discuss shipyard invoicing before presenting same to the Fleet Group Manager and/or Chief Operating Officer for approval.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Application Security Manager to join our Information Risk Management (IRM) Team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and improving the security posture of our applications by identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks. You will also provide expert security consultation related to security architecture and conduct comprehensive project and vendor risk assessments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our applications are designed and implemented with security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments of applications, including threat modelling, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing.
• Identify, document, and communicate security risks and vulnerabilities to stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations for mitigation.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Lead security training and awareness initiatives for development and operations teams to promote secure coding practices and risk management.
• Provide expert security consultation and guidance on security architecture to ensure the design and implementation of secure systems.
• Perform information risk assessments for new/existing projects, IT outsourcing security reviews, and 3rd party risk assessments and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Provide security consultations to internal customers by identifying possible security threats and determining the best security measures.
• Lead security incident management domain by responding to security incidents and conducting cyber tabletop exercise.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies to ensure ongoing protection of applications.
• Prepare and present detailed reports and dashboards on security assessment findings and remediation progress to management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP) are a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in application security, information security, or a related field, with a focus on security architecture, risk assessment, and security incident management.
• Strong understanding of application security principles, practices, and technologies, as well as security architecture frameworks and methodologies.
• Experience with security assessment tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Nessus, or similar.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) for security testing and automation.
• Familiarity with secure coding practices and frameworks (e.g., OWASP Top Ten, SANS CWE Top 25).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Experience in cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure) and security architecture is a plus.

Senior Chartering Manager
Location: Singapore

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Chartering Manager to join a growing dry bulk shipping company in Singapore. This role requires a seasoned professional with in-depth knowledge of dry cargo chartering and an understanding of the unique needs of a start-up company in the maritime industry. The successful candidate will also serve as the Owner's Representative, overseeing the company's interests in all chartering and operational matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Chartering & Commercial Management:
  • Lead the dry bulk chartering operations, ensuring competitive and cost-effective transportation solutions for clients.
  • Manage all commercial aspects of chartering, including negotiations, contract management, and market analysis.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key charterers, owners, brokers, and operators.
  • Handle various dry cargo commodities, including steel, minerals, fertilizers, grains, coal, bauxite, and iron ore, across global routes (Pacific, Indian, and Atlantic Oceans).
• Owner’s Representative:
  • Act as the liaison between the company and vessel owners, ensuring that all interests are aligned.
  • Oversee vessel performance and operational efficiency, ensuring vessels are fully optimized in terms of scheduling, costs, and performance.
  • Ensure adherence to company safety, quality, and compliance standards across all operations.
• Strategic Planning & Development:
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the company’s strategic business objectives in dry bulk shipping.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize chartering operations and reduce logistical costs.
  • Analyze market trends, track fleet performance, and recommend changes to improve overall service offering and profitability.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in chartering management within the dry bulk shipping industry.
• Proven track record in handling diverse dry cargo commodities, including steel, coal, bauxite, iron ore, etc.
• Strong negotiation skills with experience managing commercial relationships with clients, vessel owners, and brokers.
• Solid understanding of the dry bulk market dynamics and chartering processes.
• Experience as an Owner’s Representative, with the ability to act as the key point of contact for operational and commercial matters.
• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime, Logistics, or a related field.
• Fluency in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
