RtMI Coal Division and FRM Division (“DIVISION”) has the headquarter function of Coal and FRM’s global trading business in Mitsubishi Corporation (“MC Headquarters”) with sitting along with global head of DIVISION.

DIVISION operates global-basis business by leveraging the regional offices based in Japan, China, America, Europe, India and other regions. DIVISION also tries to expand its business by providing various value-added scheme (in logistic, derivative etc.) to global counterparties, which contains complicated business scheme with various risk factors.

Under this global basis business model, it is important to equip DIVISION with the robust framework / structure of risk management. Middle office is responsible to establish such foundation under DIVISION by supporting global head, and to monitor various risk factors and PL under its trading portfolio, through communicating with various stakeholders such as traders in DIVISION, colleagues in corporate division in RtMI, employees in regional offices and MC Headquarters. Job Description

Manage technical surveyors, coordinate and arrange surveys and audits

Manage and supervise the responsibility for survey and audit activities of vessels and equipment within the office's jurisdiction

Coordinate with governments, including the Japanese government, regarding certification services

Training and performance evaluation of technical surveyors

Responding to technical inquiries and providing technical advice from clients, including shipowners and ship management companies

Liaison with Head Office in Japan

Verification of technical documents and certificates

Establish and maintain quality management system

Required skills and qualifications

Five or more years of experience in maritime industry

Experience in ship survey and audit activities as well as management

Knowledge of ship classification and statutory requirements

• More than 8 years of relevant work experience in Payments or financial industry products, more than 3 years of management experience
• Familiar with the business model and product form of at least one financial field such as Wealth Banking, Securities, OTC, payment, Core Banking ecosystem, etc.
• Familiar with the application of cutting-edge technologies such as API, Core Banking Ecosystem, Big Data or Crytpo in the financial industry

Job Responsibilities:

Product strategic planning

• According to the company's strategic objectives, formulate medium and long-term development plans for financial products;
• In-depth research on industry dynamics, market trends and user needs, to provide strategic support for product direction.

Product design and management

• Lead the overall design of financial products, including product architecture, functional modules and core processes;
• Responsible for product life cycle management, from demand research, design, development to online operation, to ensure continuous product optimization.

Cross-departmental collaboration

• Work closely with technical, operational, marketing, legal and risk teams to ensure product compliance and implementation;
• Responsible for cross-departmental coordination, promote resource integration, and ensure that the project is completed on time and with high quality.

User needs and market analysis

• Collect user feedback and market data, dig deep into user needs, and optimize user experience;
• Monitor industry competitor dynamics, provide product competitiveness analysis and improvement suggestions.

Team management

• Responsible for the construction and management of the financial product team, and cultivate the professional ability of the team members;
• Set goals for the team and follow up on completion to ensure the team is functioning efficiently.

Risk Management & Compliance

• Work with risk control and legal teams to ensure that products comply with relevant regulatory requirements and risk control standards;
• Develop and optimize risk control strategies to reduce potential risks in product operations.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or above, major in finance, economics, computer or related majors s preferred;
• More than 8 years of relevant work experience in Payments or financial industry products, more than 3 years of management experience;
• Familiar with the business model and product form of at least one financial field such as Wealth Banking, Securities, OTC, payment, Core Banking ecosystem, etc.;
• Have excellent strategic thinking and market insight, and have a deep understanding of industry development trends;
• Strong data analysis skills and business logic thinking, able to complete complex project planning independently;
• Excellent communication skills, organization and coordination skills, and able to efficiently promote cross-departmental cooperation;
• Familiar with relevant laws and regulations, with risk control and compliance management awareness.

Key Responsibilities

• Support events project team including conferences, exhibitions, virtual events and other ad hoc meetings.
• Running virtual events and webinars, platform set up, speaker liaison, and live stream coordination including chasing speakers recording & webinar materials, designer and editor, prepping speaker onboarding, conduct tech checks and rehearsals, webinar show calling etc.
• Ability to liaise with senior industry stakeholders with effective communication and language.
• Manage exhibitor and sponsor logistics to ensure all sponsor and exhibitor packages are fulfilled as sold by the portfolios, including event floorplan.
• Production and timely communication of correct and detailed technical manuals for exhibitors.
• Manage all speaker requirements (C-Suite / Senior Management level) to ensure that the conference programmes run smoothly.
• Arrange travel and accommodation for staff and speakers within a pre-set budget.
• Respond quickly and calmly to requests from speakers, sponsors, overseas partners and exhibitors pre-event and onsite.
• Manage suppliers and orders for all event signage, AV, venue, catering, printings, sponsored items etc.
• Manage the costs, prepare and report event budgets including raising purchase orders, obtaining final costs and signing off invoices with approval.
• Develop a thorough understanding of health & safety principles and ensuring all parties are in compliance.
• Assist the Operations team with any other ad hoc tasks as required. Includes ad-hoc administration tasks as required by Head of Operations.
• Work as part of a team delivering the operations for medium/ large conferences and Exhibitions.
• Available to travel in APAC.
• Report to Operations Director, and work closely with the Portfolio Directors, Producers, the project team and other Operations team members to seamlessly deliver the event.

The focus of this role is to, in conjunction with the Regional CFO, support Singapore, China, Indonesia and some parts of Europe, to oversee and manage the financial operations within the group

Finance and Business Reporting

• Prepare on an adhoc basis, monthly, quarterly and annual closings leveraging our existing trading and financial systems for data analysis and reporting. Oversee all accounting matters in all subsidiaries within APAC.
• Oversee the consolidation of financial statements from all subsidiaries for the holding company. Ensure that all financial reporting is in accordance with applicable accounting standards, and intercompany transactions are accurately recorded and eliminated in consolidation.
• Able to translate complex financial data including but not limited to trading P&L into accounting world in compliance with regulatory standards (such as Singapore FRS)
• Working in conjunction with the CFO and collaborate with external auditors during consolidated and statutory audits providing justifications;

Business Collaboration & Analysis

• Work closely with various teams within the group including trading, commercial, marketing, operations, trade & treasury and risk teams to ensure understanding of all P&L, costing methods and enhancement of current accounting systems

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CA or CPA qualifications is a must. Experience with reporting under IFRS
• 5-8 years of experience in audit and financial controlling, with expertise in commodity trading;
• Strong experience in monthly & quarterly closings and audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance;
• Strong skills in dealing with systems (for example, ETRM, ERP, reporting tools);
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams;
• Proficient in spoken and writing English & Chinese (due to inherent nature of our business / subsidiary in China and able to communicate with suppliers from time to time)

AML Compliance Function

· Primary responsibility of the AML related frameworks of the Branch

· Authorisation to accord requisite and relevant approvals for customer on-boarding, ongoing due diligence and transaction level approvals as material risk personnel (MRP) by delegation

· Performance of Compliance reviews and testing on various AML/CFT activities

· Reviewing of Policy, Manual, Product And Process notes relevant to AML/CFT

· Follow-up with business and/or operations group on outstanding Audit/Compliance testing issues

· Involve the AML relevant systems UAT, enhancements and annual review

· Prepare EWRA exercise and methodology review

· Oversight on compliance related outsourced activities to Head Office, Compliance team as MRP

· Conduct periodic AML/CFT training within branch

Regulatory Compliance (Non AML)

· Conduct gap and impact analysis and assistance to implementation of new regulations and regulatory requirements

· Submission of the above review to head office and for internal update is to be done in a timely manner

· Handle follow up on the implementation of recommendations by various departments from Regulatory Inspection or reviews, Statutory audits, Independent Audit, Internal Audit

· Review of credit proposals from compliance perspective for all new and existing credit relationship of corporate banking Group

· Pre-trade clearance and submission of statement under the Personal Account Dealing framework of the Bank and carrying out periodic compliance review and testing. Review of Personal Account Dealing framework from time to time.

· Performance of compliance reviews and testing on various activities as per approved testing plan in BA, SFA and FAA

· Performance branch wise Compliance risk assessment

· Reviewing of Policy, Manual, Product and Process notes from regulatory compliance respective.

· Communication with the regulator under the delegation as MRP

· To undertake projects and assignments from time to time as directed by the HOD (e.g. CRAFT yearly audit, Independent audit, external audit, supervisory visits.)

· Organize and conduct periodic compliance trainings (e.g. fair dealing with customers, personal account dealing, SFA/FAA, individual accountability etc.)

Reporting

· Lead a team and prepare of reports (e.g.: monthly compliance report, Singapore Compliance and Audit Committee report/presentation and quarterly compliance certification) for onward submission to HO.

· Preparation and submission regular regulatory reports/survey under compliance team to the regulators

· Ad hoc projects given by department head

Back-up Role-Bank’s Data Protection Officer

· Contribution to the development and implementation of data protection policies and procedures in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations to keep them updated.

· To advise business groups and other support/control groups for compliance of the data protection policy and conduct required trainings

· Identification and mitigation of data protection risks in relation to technology, outsourcing, marketing programmes.

· Be the nominated data protection officer of the Bank, coordination with the governmental and regulatory authorities in relation to the activities under the data protection laws and regulations as well as handling and leading on the resolution of complaints from the public and staff in relation to the data protection.

· Provide the data protection trainings within branch
