Job Summary
As the Manager for Cybersecurity Operations in APAC, you will oversee the design, implementation, and management of robust security controls and incident response mechanisms, ensuring compliance with relevant cybersecurity frameworks. Your collaboration with the Group Security and Governance team, regional IT, and business stakeholders will drive a unified approach to regional cybersecurity operations strategy, threat detection, and operational resilience. This role requires a proactive leader with extensive knowledge of threat landscapes and a commitment to maturing DP World’s cybersecurity posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity, OT, and IT Teams to monitor and optimize security controls, ensuring effective use of technologies like SIEM, UEBA, EDR, SOAR, next-gen firewalls, SASE, and more.
- Develop and enforce patch management, system hardening, and vulnerability remediation processes to maintain secure and resilient systems.
- Ensure compliance with regional cybersecurity regulations and frameworks, including GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, and local data privacy laws.
- Define and implement cybersecurity standards and processes across the APAC region for consistency and security excellence.
- Deploy approved cybersecurity technologies across business units to ensure secure and compliant operations.
- Track and manage metrics such as vulnerability remediation rates, incident detection numbers, and security patch timelines.
- Work closely with the Global SOC and managed security service providers to maintain effective threat detection and response capabilities.
- Develop and refine processes for threat detection, incident management, and vulnerability management to identify and resolve cybersecurity risks quickly.
- Conduct post-incident analysis and drive continuous improvements to strengthen cybersecurity defenses in the APAC region.
- Lead incident response efforts across APAC, coordinating with cybersecurity, HR, legal, compliance, and external partners for thorough and timely handling.
- Promote secure system configurations, data protection, and incident response practices, ensuring efficient handling of alerts, incident reviews, and response times.
- Provide regular cybersecurity reports to senior management, communicating risks, incidents, and strategies, and participate in regional forums to align on security requirements.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, or a similar field is required; an advanced degree and certifications (such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, or CGEIT) are highly valued.
- 8-10 years in cybersecurity, including at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing security operations teams.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices for both IT and OT (operational technology).
- Demonstrated experience in incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management.
- Proven ability to manage security operations at a regional or global level across various geographies.
- Strong technical expertise in key cybersecurity tools and technologies, including SIEM, UEBA, EDR, vulnerability management (both IT and OT), cyber threat intelligence, SOAR, next-generation firewalls, SASE, privileged access management, and network segmentation.
- Familiarity with industrial control and SCADA systems, OT protocols, and critical infrastructure, including legacy systems, is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience in incident response, risk management, threat intelligence, and adherence to cybersecurity frameworks.
- Knowledge of cloud security and awareness of emerging technologies is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong analytical skills, adept at solving complex technical and cybersecurity challenges.
- Ability to stay agile with evolving cybersecurity threats and regulatory landscapes across various regions.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail, prioritization, and planning skills.
