• Conducting initial due diligence (such as the investigation/verification of facts and figures for projects, examining documents, and researching on laws, regulation and policy (both Singapore and elsewhere)).
• Demonstrating good housekeeping and file management practices (including precedent banks)
• In conjunction with the business development team and the senior fee earners, assisting with preparing pitches to clients for new matters
• Assisting other team members in transaction management, including managing timelines for multiple matters
• Liaising with external parties including clients and other legal professionals in other law firms and HFW offices
• You will also have the opportunity to contribute to new business development and growth initiatives through participation in strategic projects with high business impact and visibility
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to our practice areas.

Requirements:

• A law degree from a reputable university
• Ideally with 5 to 6 years relevant working experience in an international law firm
• Good command of English
• Good drafting and research skills
• Ability to work under pressure, dealing with unknowns and handle concurrent tasks
• Being able to marry good practical skills with practical solutions and approaches to real-world untested problems
• A team player with the ability to work in a multi-cultural and collegiate law-firm environment
• Good communication skills

Job Description:

• Maintain accurate and up to date financial reports, including invoices, purchase orders, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank statements
• Reconcile accounts
• Process and record financial transactions including journal entries and general ledger entries
• Prepare and analyse financial reports such as income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement
• Monitor expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements for audit and tax filings
• Stay updated on accounting principles and regulations to ensure compliance
• Develop and improve accounting process and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision making

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 5-7 years of experience in bookeeping or accounting roles
• In depth knowledge of accounting principles amd procedures
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analtytical and problem solving skills
• Abiliting to work independently and collaboratively
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
