Job Description

This person will be working at the NUS Centre for Biomedical Ethics on the CENTRES (Clinical Ethics Network + Research Ethics Support) project. CENTRES was established in 2009 and has been funded by the Ministry of Health since its founding. CENTRES is a networking and training platform to enhance capabilities of healthcare professionals and clinical ethics committees in Singapore.

We offer a range of educational programmes targeted at members of clinical ethics committees, and more broadly healthcare professionals. These programmes are delivered fully online, hybrid (online and in-person) and fully in-person. This person will report to Dr Sumytra Menon, CENTRES Co-Director, and work closely with CBmE’s Head of Administration, Ms Connie Wu.

The main purpose of the job is for the person to provide effective administrative support to enable the CENTRES team to carry out its educational programmes and build its networks. A sliver of the administrative work will be department related.

The position is for 2 years, with the possibility of renewal if performance is satisfactory.

Roles & Responsibilities

Primary accountabilities

• Lead by example and ensure safety culture and the consistent adoption of safe work procedures.
• Work closely with the Site Engineer to ensure projects are set up for success from the start.
• Apply construction experience to improve construction methods and adopt methods and approaches to ensure the job gets done safely and efficiently.
• Planning, sourcing, scheduling and hiring of site labour, ensuring the job has the right people with the right skills and attitude.
• Induct new labour and sub-contractors in to company systems, ensuring paperwork is in order.
• Manage and supervise team performance, including the management of disciplinary issues.
• Train site labour and ensure adherence to issues of safety, quality and the environment.
• Conduct and document safety pre-starts and inspections at required frequency or as scheduled.
• Manage safety incidences immediately in conjunction with project engineer and safety coordinator.
• Supervise site works through regular site inspections, helping the team to solve problems and manage day to day operational risks.
• Monitor site productivities against men hours budget.

Skills & Experience

• A minimum 20 years’ experience in segmental bridge construction, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Launching Gantries, Segment Lifters and Heavy Lifting
• Demonstrated experience delivering projects on time to schedule.
• Demonstrated experience leading large teams (50 people).

Your Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant. As one of the most crucial roles not just of any finance team, but any company, the Accountant’s role is a dynamic role with a multitude of responsibilities

· Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management

· Responsible for the preparation and closing of monthly and annual financial statements

· Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (i.e.: AP & AR process, GL, account reconciliation, etc.)

· Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities

· Support forecasting and budgeting exercises as per corporate guidelines when needed

· Coordinate and liaise with external parties like finance advisory agents, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, and local tax and government authorities where required

Requirements

Requirements:

This position requires the dietitian to provide medical nutrition therapy to patients from various clinical disciplines at both inpatient and outpatient settings. The dietitian will also need to participate in community and public education/ activities to promote healthy eating and nutritional well-being.
