We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Counsellor to join our team, as we start to build a new team to support the mental health of our children & youth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing high-quality therapeutic support, counselling and guidance to individuals and groups. As a Senior Counsellor, you will play a critical role in leading counselling initiatives, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to the development of our mental health services to support the needs of Life Community’s clients. This is a 2-year contract position and is subject to extension.

Key Roles & Responsibilities include:

• Contribute to the design and implementation of new mental health programmes and initiatives for the agency, ensuring they meet client needs and organizational goals. This includes developing a mental wellness curriculum to promote the importance of mental health in our children and youth.
• Provide individual and group counselling sessions to clients in need, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address a range of mental health issues.
• Supervise and support junior staff, offering guidance, training, and performance feedback. Lead case consultations and team meetings, sharing insights and best practices.
• Work with programme staff on complex cases and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
• Planning and conducting training for staff on pertinent mental health issues and skills for first-line intervention and support.
• Developing and conducting psycho-education sessions on mental health issues and coping strategies.
• Maintain confidential and accurate counselling records. Provide management reports to Senior Management and the Board, as necessary.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, community partners and other external stakeholders to coordinate care and expand service reach.
• Participate in outreach activities to promote mental health awareness and services.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Counselling or Psychology.
• Minimum 5-7 years of working experience in counselling work involving children and youths. Experience or practice in intervention of special education needs will be an advantage.
• Must have a flair, understanding and patience to work with children & youth.

Senior Cook Job description

The Senior cook will prepare meals and follow establishment recipes. Duties include preparing ingredients, adhering to the restaurant menu, and following food health and safety procedures. Cook, clean, assist other cooks and staff and deliver food in a fast-paced environment. Work may include operating a grill, oven, or fryer. Previous experience in a team environment and various cooking methods preferred.

The incumbent is responsible to :

• Ensures medication management in own area of work is efficient, zero-wastage and inaccordance with best professional practices
• Reviews medication orders (medication chart or prescription) for appropriateness and intervenes with prescriber or follows up where necessary
• Ensures medications received by patients are packed correctly and dispensed within target turnaround time
• Ensures that all medication related costs and revenue in own course of work are accounted for and accurately recovered where applicable
• Assigns, overseas and reviews the work of subordinates in the same area of work. Ensures that all prescription, sales, supply, storage and distribution of medications, as well as their documentation, comply with legal requirements and relevant regulations established by the relevant authorities
• Precepts and trains pre-registration pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy/pharmaceutical students according to training plan and guidelines
• Attends and provides lectures and other forms of continuing education to pharmacy staff and other hospital employees
• Provides feedback to inform department's continuing education agenda
• Leads research or quality improvement projects in the department

Job Requirements :

• Degree in Pharmacy accredited by the Singapore Pharmacy Council
• Registered Pharmacist with the Singapore Pharmacy Council
• Minimum 2 years' experience in hospital pharmacy-related work or minimum 1-2 years' experience in hospital pharmacy-related work with a relevant postgraduate degree

This position requires the dietitian to provide medical nutrition therapy to patients from various clinical disciplines at both inpatient and outpatient settings. The dietitian will also need to participate in community and public education/ activities to promote healthy eating and nutritional well-being. As part of continuous improvement, the dietitian is expected to contribute in quality improvement and/ or research activities.

As a senior dietitian, you will guide and mentor junior Dietitian, train and teach students on clinical placements, and participate in teaching of healthcare professionals.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics/ Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics/ Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics
• Candidates with prior relevant experience preferred
• For the Senior position, a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in clinical setting with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity preferred
