Job Description:

We pride ourselves on our excellent coffee; from preparing, and serving genuinely delectable coffee to creatively adoring your servings with beautiful latte art. Besides coffee, our bar also serves a curation of carefully selected tea, drinking chocolate and chai, slow-pressed juices and plant based fresh fruit smoothies, as well as alcoholic beverages such as draught beer, wine, cocktails and artisanal spirits.

In your role as a Barista / Senior Barista, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth daily bar operations in all our restaurants, ensuring consistent day-to-day operations encompassing exceptional customer service, high-quality beverages and a positive work environment. Supporting the Barista Manager, you will help oversee our beverage menu, ensuring the highest standards are kept over selection and preparation of all our beverages.

You will…

• directly support the Barista Manager in guiding a team of baristas, help manage inventory, and maintenance of equipment, all while fostering a strong passion for coffee and a positive connection with our customers.
• be tasked with training and supervision of new baristas, as well as other colleagues in our Restaurants by fostering a positive and collaborative team environment through well-planned and effective execution of required knowledge and skills in the preparation and delivery of our beverages.
• safeguard the preparation of high-quality coffee and other beverages, adhering to established recipes and standards to enhance existing skillsets and knowledge about coffee and other beverages, preparation techniques and recipes, and safety procedures.
• ensure the highest level of customer service excellence is always upkept, such as addressing customer needs and any possible feedback efficiently and smoothly.
• help monitor required inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to minimize wastage and maintain product availability.
• ensure that all health and safety practices are strictly upkept as per policies and regulations.
• be open to any other skill-development or ad-hoc tasked as assigned by your supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2-years related experience as a barista / senior barista in a similar bar, cafe and / or restaurant environment.
• Genuine love and passion for coffee and other types of beverages in general.
• Able to work shifts depending on business needs, as well as weekends and public holidays.
• Excellent communication skills with positive, interpersonal skills.
• A team player with a good sense of job responsibility and a keen eye for detail.
• Honest willingness to learn and grow with the Company.

About the Role

Reporting to the Technical Director, you will work closely with our development team to provide technical expertise in product development while working directly with customers to create successful applications. Key Responsibilities

• Drive product development across multiple applications including beverages, confectionery, dairy, and savory
• Develop formulations for new products and revise existing formulas to meet changing requirements
• Conduct stability studies across different product matrices to ensure consistent performance
• Partner with customers to develop and optimize product formulations
• Provide technical guidance on manufacturing processes and parameters
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in production environments
• Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentation
• Keep up-to-date with new ingredient technologies and their potential applications
• Evaluate ingredient interactions and determine optimal usage levels
• Understand and communicate processing constraints and ingredient restrictions
• Build and maintain detailed documentation of flavor performance and stability data
• Follow proper laboratory procedures and safety protocols
• Select optimal flavor and ingredient combinations based on technical requirements
• Support regulatory compliance in formula development
• Transfer technical knowledge to customer R&D teams when needed

Required Qualifications

• BSc in Food Science/Technology or related field
• Minimum 3 years hands-on application development experience
• Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes
• Practical knowledge of flavor applications and stability
• Experience working directly with customers
• Proven ability to solve technical challenges
• Good documentation and communication skills
