Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain RHEL, IBM AIX, SUSE, and CentOS systems.
• Perform upgrades, patches, and monitoring to ensure high availability and performance.
• Troubleshoot OS-level issues and provide root cause analysis.
• Manage VMware environments, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi servers.
• Configure and maintain Dell, HPE, and IBM Power servers, as well as Blade Chassis hardware.
• Oversee storage systems such as IBM Storwize/Storage devices and IBM Tape Libraries.
• Implement and manage clustering solutions using Pacemaker and Veritas Cluster Server.
• Design and maintain IBM GPFS (General Parallel File System) environments.
• Utilize BigFix, HP Server Automation, and BMC automation tools for server management and deployment.
• Develop and implement scripts for system automation, backup, and disaster recovery processes.
• Configure and maintain enterprise storage systems and backup strategies.
• Monitor storage utilization and ensure optimal performance and scalability.
• Monitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Respond promptly to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document resolutions.
• Enforce security policies, including system hardening, patch management, and vulnerability scanning.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in enterprise-level system administration.
• Proven expertise in RHEL, IBM AIX, SUSE, CentOS, and VMware.
• Hands-on experience with Dell, HPE, IBM Power series, and Blade Chassis.
• Familiarity with IBM Storwize, IBM Tape Libraries, and enterprise storage systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Pacemaker, Veritas Cluster Server, and IBM GPFS.
• Proficiency with BigFix, HP Server Automation, and BMC tools.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or Perl).
• Experience with enterprise backup and recovery solutions.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and documentation abilities.
• Certification in RHEL, VMware, IBM AIX, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and principles.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
