The Role
We have an opportunity for a Senior Interior Designer to join us in the commercial space, creating practical and pleasing, future focused solutions. The opportunity will focus on driving design direction on client projects, and mentoring more junior designers.
Responsibilities will include:
- Project Delivery and Oversight – deliver projects, from project set up and briefing to on time delivery, managing and mentoring your team through the process
- Design and Insight – generate, present and bring to life viable solutions to exceed the brief, incorporating best practice and lateral thinking for original innovative ideas that challenge the status quo
- Conversion –provide information, support and influence to meet and win over clients
- Teamwork – strong focus on two-way feedback and collaboration to mentor, develop and lead more junior designers
- Compliance – compliance with all applicable Standards and Codes; as well as maintain quality, accuracy and compliance with Geyer Management Systems
- Safety – has a safety mindset, when it comes to design but also day to day actions
Who We Are Looking For
This role will suit someone highly experience in commercial interior design, who can work flexibly and is committed to continual growth and improvement. Must have tertiary qualification in interior design or architecture
- Degree qualified in Interior Design or similar. We look favourably on candidates who are Green Star Accredited Professionals
- 8+ years design/ architecture experience
- 4+ years leadership experience
- Strong design visualisation skills including sketching, hand drawing as well as fluency in Revit and Adobe graphics programs.
- A strong conceptual designer who can produce compelling sketch plans and articulate design narratives.
