Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Cook to lead our kitchen operations and deliver high-quality dishes that exceed customer expectations. As a Senior Cook, you will oversee food preparation, manage junior staff, and ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards. You will play a critical role in shaping the menu and driving the success of our kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Supervision:

• Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, including assistant cooks and kitchen helpers.
• Assign tasks and ensure all team members meet food preparation and service deadlines.
• Provide training on cooking techniques, kitchen equipment usage, and food presentation.

Menu Preparation and Cooking:

• Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes following menu specifications.
• Develop and suggest new recipes to enhance the menu and improve customer satisfaction.
• Monitor portion sizes, reduce food waste, and maintain food cost control.

Kitchen Operations Management:

• Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently, with all equipment and tools in good working condition.
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed, ensuring stock levels meet operational demands.
• Conduct regular hygiene and safety audits to maintain compliance with food safety standards.

Customer and Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with the service team to understand customer feedback and improve dish quality and presentation.
• Take the lead in preparing special dishes for events, seasonal menus, and promotions.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a cook, with 3-5 years in a similar senior-level position.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.

Job description

• Support Programme Governance and ensure deliverables are completed in a timely manner and as per scope using varied project delivery methodologies (Waterfall/Agile/Hybrid)
• Have a consulting mindset and able to contribute to developing framework & methodologies
• Oversee quality of Programme deliverables throughout the delivery lifecycle by performing quality assurance to facilitate adherence to standards and processes through Quality gates/SDLC governance.
• Proactively take ownership of own activities with minimal supervision and flexible in managing adhoc workload as required
• Attend and manage meetings by preparing invites, decks, consolidating agenda items, creation & circulation of minutes and follow up on action items in a timely manner
• Able to facilitate/lead a discussion with Project stakeholders and drive specific agenda items / discussions
• Manage and oversee the reporting and able to use tracking tools of Confluence, ADO (Azure DevOps) and MS Office tools like MS PowerPoint & Excel
• Perform any additional administrative activities as required

Skillset

• Previous Experience working on Banking / Financial Services (Must have)
• Experience in Business Analysis / Project Management with exposure to planning, reporting & delivery governance
• Detail oriented and analytical, to be able to analyze situations and perform well in a dynamic environment
• Experience and exposure to different project methodologies (preferable)
• Hands-on experience on Microsoft Office tools - PowerPoint & Excel in creating reports and trackers (Must have)
• Team player and able to work collaboratively with others (Must have)
• Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and stakeholder management skills (Must have)
• About 5-10 years of experience (preferable)

Clinical Roles

• Conduct functional assessment to determine required therapy interventions
• Select appropriate and specific outcome measures to enable evaluation of therapy progress and outcomes
• Formulate client-centered and SMART goals in collaboration with client and stakeholders
• Document and communicate assessment results, therapy plans, goals and outcome measures to client and relevant stakeholders
• Modify therapy plans based on client performance and motivation, safety, as well as therapy outcome measures collected and review continuity of care plans
• Recommend assistive devices and equipment
• Select appropriate outcome measures to enable evaluation of therapy progress and outcomes
• Provide client education by empowering clients/caregivers with methods to enhance health, mobility and functions through self-management strategies
• Perform clinical administration and operations through development of clinical practice guidelines
• Participate in continuing education, training and research activities
• Provide clinical supervision and team development for support staff and students

Resource Management

• Oversee inventory management process
• Carry out routine disinfection and cleaning of equipment
• Oversee monthly statistics and billing as per requirement

Clinical Quality and Safety

• Oversee delivery of consistent and excellent clinical and service quality to residents and sponsors
• Responsible for the clinical quality of all residents guided by the set key performance indicators
• Co-lead quality improvement project(s) in the center(s)
• Perform peer audits on compliance to clinical standards
• Respond to clinical incidents in compliance with organization’s incident management guidelines
• Monitor team’s clinical and non-clinical key performance indicators
• Deliver training or in-service to colleagues

Feedback Management

• Assist in any investigation pertaining to complaints received
• Escalate any unfavorable and unresolved feedback to Manager, Rehab

Other Duties

• Assume any other additional responsibilities as assigned by HOD and Manager, Rehab
• Maintain good communication skills with residents and sponsors

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess a recognised qualification in Physiotherapy and fully registered with AHPC, Singapore.
• At least 2 year(s) of working experience in a healthcare environment.
• Applicants must be able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people and cultures, maintaining a high level of quality service.
• Self-motivated to keep up-to-date with advances in the field of physiotherapy.
• Have an interest in neuro and geriatrics rehabilitation preferred.
• Applicants must be willing to travel across Singapore.

The Senior Cook takes account of stock levels and prepares the station before the start of each service. He/She manages food preparations and processes by food stations. He/She ensures that appropriate standards and hygiene are adhered to.
