Vessel Resource Manager's Responsibility shall include the following but not limited to:

About You

Vessel Resource Manager (VRM) will be a qualified and experienced Marine Engineer / Naval Architect with operational and maintenance knowledge of electrical, and mechanical (hydraulics) systems. Ideally the VRM should have sailed as a minimum 2nd Engineer (unlimited) and / or possess a minimum 8 years of shore experience managing various types of Offshore Vessels (DP1/2/3) including preparation of technical budgets and understands BIMCO charter party contracts. Main responsibilities:

• Ensure that fire safety requirements contained in the Emergency Response Plan are complied with at all times
• Supervise the maintenance of all fire safety works and systems in the premises
• Ensure that the occupant load of any part of any building does not exceed the capacity prescribed under the Fire Code at all times
• Conduct daily checks within the premises and remove or cause to be removed any fire hazard that is found within the premises

• Notify the Commissioner of SCDF immediately upon the occurrence of any fire incident in the premises

• Conduct fire risk assessment of the premises:

a) at least once in every 3 years

• Perform checks to ensure that any fire safety works using alternative solutions meet the requirements set out in the operations and maintenance manual, if any
