Deputy Site Service Manager

Company: Hitachi Asia Ltd.

Position overview

Hitachi Asia Ltd. is searching for a Deputy Site Service Manager to join the Particle Therapy Systems Division for its Proton Beam Therapy (PBT*) project at National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS).

(*) The PBT System is the most advanced radiotherapy system composed of a particle accelerator, rotating gantry and its control systems etc.

The Deputy Site Service Manager will be responsible for daily technical operation and maintenance of the PBT system installed at National Cancer Centre Singapore and will lead a team “Service and Maintenance Organization (SMO)” and supervise its activities. The Deputy Site Service Manager will be a primary contact point for the customer and Hitachi teams for any troubleshooting at site.

The Deputy Site Service Manager would ensure that the SMO works are in compliance with both the external and internal laws and regulations such as worker safety, radiation protection, technical and mechanical procedure and facility protocols. It is required electrical/mechanical knowledge and relevant work experience.

Role and responsibilities

• Lead and direct SMO and its activities.
• Plan and supervise SMO’s activities to ensure daily operation and appropriate maintenance service.
• Select and coordinate subcontractor activities including procurement and outsourcing services.
• Manage and monitor both technical and administrative records and documents.
• Respond to calls for service support and emergencies 24/7.
• Communicate and collaborate with the customer, relevant Hitachi departments and vendors.
• Perform test, inspection, adjustment and troubleshooting of PBT equipment.
• Comply with all regulatory standards and requirements such as, applicable laws, radiation safety regulations and internal policies of both Hitachi and National Cancer Centre Singapore.
• Adopt new technology, products and processes in daily operations.
• Develop a complete working knowledge of PBT system.
• Teach the team while doing the maintenance work together.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in English and Japanese (N1 level) to support and communicate on a technical level with the system specialist located in Japan.
• Must have at least bachelor’s degree or Technical Certification in Engineering or a related discipline in Electrical, Mechanical, Field Measurement, etc.
• Ability to work at 10+ meters height and to lift up to 20kg repeatedly and safely.
• Willingness to work in a radiational environment and to perform testing, inspection and maintenance of the system at height, and both inside & outside of the equipment.
• With basic knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and latest PC technology.
• Effective skills in communication, problem-solving, and organizational management.
• Ability to work on shifts and on-call duty: this position is 24 hours and 7 days on-call duty.
• Minimum 5 years experience in the following :

- Site Manager

- Management of team and its activities

- Mechanical, electrical and control system

- Maintenance or QA/QC of industrial plants, medical devices or nuclear power equipment

• Familiarity with working in area of high-voltage, radiation and electromagnetic.
• Proficient level in reading and interpreting various engineering documents (schematics, wiring, diagrams, piping diagrams, etc.) and using electronic test and measurement instruments (DVM, oscilloscope, micrometers, etc.)

Role Overview

The individual will be a member of the Global IT Team. The person will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise network landscapes across Cloud, IT and OT environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Azure networking, Fortinet and Cisco products. This role requires a proactive individual who can lead team members and drive network projects to successful completion.

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic

• Maintain and improve the existing enterprise network infrastructure for Azure Cloud, IT and OT environments at global scale.
• Develop network architecture patterns to ensure highly secure and scalable connectivity across HSO sites and Azure cloud.
• Develop global team of network engineers and mentor them to ensure the delivery of exceptional service.

Operational

• Maintain and operate various networking technologies including:

1. Global networking including SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN, DNS, Radius, etc.
2. Network components such as routers, switches, wireless access points (WAP), SSL VPN.
3. Azure networking solutions, including Azure ExpressRoute, VPN, Firewalls, and Network Security Groups (NSG).
4. Automation experience (Ansible or Terraform).
5. Security products such as firewall, IPS, WAF.

• Hands-on L2/L3 experience to diagnose and resolve complex network problems, including connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, hardware failures, etc.
• Lead and coordinate incident resolution across different internal and vendor teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support network-related projects.
• Collaborate with the security team to develop and enforce network and security policies.
• Collaborate in regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., CIS, NIST, GDPR).
• Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 10 years work experience within network operations with at least 4 years’ experience in enterprise network design including Azure cloud.
• International experience is highly desirable.

This is an operational position within the Asia Centre for Health Security (ACHS). The incumbent will be part of the team to support the core functions of the centre. The Centre for International Law at the National University of Singapore is a university-level research centre, with the mission of producing cutting edge research on international law. It is also at the forefront of capacity-building initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region through workshops, conferences, trainings and academic programmes reaching a diverse audience of government and private sector professionals as well as academics.

CIL is soliciting applications for several Post-Doctoral Fellowship positions commencing in August / September 2025. Initial appointments will be for one year (with the possibility of extension to a second year based on the progress accomplished during the first year).

Applications are open to prospective fellows with research projects in all areas of International Law as well as other areas of public law wih direct links to international law. Of particular interest are applicants who are interested in the Asia-Pacific region; technology and digital economy; sustainable development; cybersecurity; international economic law; and international dispute resolution.

We encourage interdisciplinary approaches, such as (1) human rights and technology/ artificial intelligence/ global health/ international humanitarian law/ environment; (2) trade and climate change/ technology; (3) sustainable development and economic law; and (4) cybersecurity/ IHL/ international criminal law.

Preference will be given to prospective fellows whose ambition is to pursue an academic career - the program is tailored to facilitate such careers. There are different models of Postdoctoral programs. The program will be directed by Dr. Nilufer Oral, Director of CIL and member of the International Law Commission, as well as Professor Joseph Weiler who holds a regular visiting appointment position at NUS.

Qualifications

The selection committee will consider the following criteria in making appointments:

1. The applicant must have obtained a doctoral degree in a field of international law within the past 3 years. For applicants still pursuing their doctoral degree, the dissertation must be defended and approved no later than 15 August 2025.
2. The principal selection criterion will be the applicant's potential for exellence in research and the quality and orignality of his /her proposed project of research. The quality of the doctoral dissertation as well as any other publications will be the primary evidence of such potential. A PDF file of the PhD dissertation must be appended to the application as well as one or two samples of published work. Applicants still pursuing their doctoral degree must append a detailed description of the doctoral project as well as any completed chapters.
3. Three letters of reference are required, one of which, ideally, would be from the PhD Supervisor and/or a member of the Examining Committee. · Uphold high cleanliness and safety standards within the centre, creating a comfortable and secure environment for everyone.

· Demonstrate utmost respect for client confidentiality, maintaining their privacy at all times.

Documentation:

· Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports, including IEPs, ICPs, progress reports, lesson plans, and incident reports, to the Head of Centre (HOC) and/or consultants.

· Ensure meticulous record-keeping, documenting assessments, progress, and any relevant information to provide a comprehensive view of each client's learning journey.

· Collect and analyze learning data, maintaining a well-organized documentation file that informs decision-making and supports individualized client support plans.

Requirements:

· At least an ITE Certification/O Level/A Level/ Diploma from a recognized educational institution

· Relevant experience in the fields of Special Education, Nursing, Counselling or Care services is preferred

· Experience in Community Service with exposure to youths / adults with autism is an added advantage

· Compassionate and patient personality

· Committed to the education and nurturing of youths / adults with autism

· Working Location: Blk 351 Clementi Ave 2

Full Time:

• 5 days work week
• Weds to Sun: 8am to 9pm

Service Crew Responsibilities / Requirements:

• Availability to work around peak hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Provide information and assistance (product or service) to customers.
• Monitor the surrounding condition
• Keep the work environment cleaning duties and responsibilities
• Maintain stock of goods
• Handle the customer's complaint
