The Centre Management System Support, Executive/Senior Executive is responsible for overseeing the upkeep, procurement & maintenance of all exhibits, audio-visual equipment, facilities and essential services for daily operations for centres/museums under Defence Collective Singapore (DCS).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintenance Planning: Planning and implementation of building maintenance programs for architectural, electrical, and mechanical, exhibits and attractions AV lighting systems. Co-ordinate and liaise with internal and external vendors for the execution of maintenance services. Conduct joint inspection rounds with Specialists/Technical Officers on building/Exhibit/AV & lighting defects.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety equipment, work methods, and procedures. Promptly rectify any unsafe situations, adhering to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations. Be responsible for implementing Company’s SOP and policies including compliance to QEHS policies. Conducting regular checks on the entire building to ensure the prompt removal of fire hazards, proper functioning of fire escapes, fire doors, and obstruction-free access.
• Supervise Works: Control and supervise all AV Lighting and exhibition related works performed by Specialists/Technical Officers and contractors, including those carried out by tenant's fitting out contractors. Supervise and inspect the works of contractors and the works of the service providers (cleaning, housekeeping, landscaping, pest control, car park and security). To ensure contractors’ compliance to safety, regulations and level of standards set by DCS.
• Repairs and Emergency Situations: Responding to emergency situations & troubleshoot sound and video and ensuring prompt repairs of property facilities. Providing updates to Centre Management team with regards to the situation.
• Procurement: Manage budgetary control of expenditures including preparation of annual budgets and forecast. Conduct tender exercises for OPEX/CAPEX works such as replacement, upgrading or redevelopment works and manage such works according to timeline including putting up of documents and procurement for OPEX/CAPEX requests.
• Daily Operations: Responsible for the coordination of meetings and events such as logistics support, obtaining quotations, raising of invoices etc. Conduct regular inspection of the centre to ensure high standard of cleanliness and service are provided by term contractors related to cleaning, landscape, pest control etc.
• Reports: Monitor and report on the work progress of minor improvement projects or A&A work. Tabulate inspection report and plans for defects rectification.
• Project Management: Procurement of services as well as management of services and projects from inception, execution and to completion. Project lead to manage all aspects of project.
• Event Management: To provide audio, visual and media services for events and activities (e.g. Family Day, celebrations, etc). To help staff (hands-on) on setup of technology in the venues.
• Others: provide training to staff and students on the use of AV and lighting equipment, carry out any ad-hoc duties, handyman work, projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum diploma in the audiovisual technology, sound engineering, lighting design technology or any related field, such as digital media or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, including proficiency in clear, concise, and compelling oral and written communication in English.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure and to manage multiple concurrent tasks and responsibilities while dealing with changing priorities.
• Possess strong working knowledge with maintenance work, local codes and regulations. Familiar with statutory requirements on building services, facility operations, maintenance, and safety.
• Withstand various strenuous activities such as frequent walking, prolonged standing, climbing ladders, bending, and kneeling without restriction.
• Able to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Relevant experiences in facilities management/MCST, ACMV, M&E Systems, building automation system (BAS), Certification as Fire Safety Manager will be an added advantage.

• Perform event monitoring for IT Systems and Network infrastructure.
• Perform incident escalation. Ensure incidents are responded and attended to. To redirect for 2nd or 3rd Level resolution base on criticality, impact and customer Service Level Agreement (SLA).
• Manage and mitigate escalations of high impact system failures and assist in tracking the incidents till closure.

• Oversee the daily operations of the Centre
• Liaising with tutors, parents and students
• Provide quality customer service through understanding of customers’ queries and needs
• Ensure that all customer enquiries are satisfactorily managed, resolved and closed within agreed timeframe
• Ensure that student resources, stationery and merchandise are well stocked in the Centre
• Monitor and escalate any urgent/complex issues to management
• Counter sales of tuition packages
• Coordinating marketing and sales activities at branchCommunicating with parents on the new tuition schedules for every start of the semesters or academic year
• Administer daily and monthly reports
• Periodic preparation for new academic year as well as semesters

• Responding to customer service requests, diagnosing equipment problems and providing timely and effective solutions.
• Performing on-site repairs, maintenance and installations of equipment and machinery.
• Conducting preventive maintenance checks and routine inspections to identify potential issues and ensure equipment reliability.
• Collaborating with internal teams, including sales, engineering and product development, to address customer needs and provide technical assistance.
• Documenting service activities, including service reports, repair logs and customer communication, to maintain accurate records and ensure traceability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose technical issues reported by customers through phone, email, or ticketing systems, providing remote troubleshooting and guidance.
• Schedule and coordinate service visits and appointments with customers, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
• Perform equipment installations, upgrades and preventive maintenance activities according to manufacturer specifications and service agreements.
• Test equipment functionality and performance after repairs or installations, ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
• Provide training and technical assistance to customers and end users on equipment operation, maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
• Communicate effectively with customers, explaining technical concepts and solutions clearly and concisely.

Job Description & Requirements

1. Onboard vessel coordination, commissioning, Service, modification and troubleshooting of Cathelco products (MGPS and ICCP systems).

2. Routine Maintenance tasks e.g., On-board Site Surveys, Technical Audits, System Health Checks, Spares Management and Service Report.

3. Ensure service / commissioning work is always completed safely and efficiently.

4. Ensure service / commissioning reports are completed fully and to a good standard on completion of each order and get signed from owner / yard.

5. Discuss and recommend technical solutions with Customer and Project Manager.

6. Commissioning vessels at Singapore / Overseas Major Shipyard.

7. Responding to Technical queries from Shipyard and customers within a given timeline.

8. Ensure that the product support related to areas of the complaints and the warranty system is properly managed with records maintained.

9. Oversee the installation of the systems or equipment.

10. Maintain close working relationship with our key customers to ensure the follow through until the issue is resolved.

11. Investigates root causes of failures and recommend solutions.

12. To deal with customer on the warranty issues from technical aspect.

13. Performs any other service and training duties as and when assigned.

Qualification/ Requirement:

1. Diploma in Engineering (Marine/ Mechanical / Electrical)

2. At least 3 years of working experience in marine related

3. Independent with team-oriented spirit

4. Ability to read mechanical / electrical system drawing.

5. Good communication and analytical skills.

6. Good report writing skills.

7. Prepare to travel overseas for commissioning / service works.

8. Understanding and ability to use Microsoft office, specifically MS word and excel.

Roles & Responsibilities

Official working hours: 5 Days

Salary: Basic $3000 - $5000 plus Overtime

Working location: Tuas or Site

• To carry out inspection, troubleshooting & repair of marine equipment such as hatch cover, winches and crane on site.
• To carry overhauling of marine equipment or components in workshop, such as winches, cylinders , motor.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced Hydraulic/Mechanical Service Engineer who capable to work in marine industry.

• Nitec, Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 1 years working experience in Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical, Marine, or heavy engineering Industry. Preferably with service and troubleshooting skill.
• Capable in mechanical and hydraulic and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Good coordination skill and capable to supervise repair team at shipyard and during vessel repair.
• Positive attitude and able to work under pressure to complete work within timeframe.
• Eager to learn and good team player.
• Capable to prepare service reports and able to communicate well with colleague, customer and contractor.
• Willing to work overtime and travel overseas for short period.
