The Role
The Senior Manager will be responsible for the recruitment delivery, relationship management and annual budget of a specific business function within a large complex client solution with multiple service lines and/or geographies. The Senior Manager will have direct reports and will be responsible for leading a team of recruiters.
They will support the Client Operations Director in creating the talent strategy for the account and driving the achievement of all contractually agreed quality thresholds, KPIs and client satisfaction targets.
The Senior Manager will provide line management and inspirational leadership to their team, driving engagement, retention and wellbeing. They will role model the AMS behaviours, drive succession planning and team/leadership development. They will provide pastoral support and manage their team’s performance through ongoing quality conversations to ensure efficient delivery, and an excellent client and candidate experience. Additional responsibilities include compliance, continuous improvement and supporting business development activities
Key Accountabilities
What you will do:
- Lead team in the delivery against targets, budget and SLAs. Provide oversight of requisitions managed by recruiters to ensure they are meeting the contractually agreed service standards.
- Work closely with the Performance Management CoE to monitor the account’s Key Performance Indicators and forecasts. Identify trends and issues, and influence account strategy using data-led insights
- Maintain oversight of financial forecast and associated MBR/QBR materials created by Performance Management CoE. Lead MBRs and QBRs with Client Operations Director
- Manage the scope, governance and compliance of the contract through team activity. Identify and tackle scope creep
- Responsible for effectively communicating the account’s commercial and people strategy to their team
- Support Managers and Recruiters in the resolution of complex and contentious issues with clients, ensuring all escalations are resolved promptly
- Make the account a great place to work - drive operational excellence, wellbeing, engagement and retention. Invest in building team capability through regular development and career planning
- Lead on-site and virtual teams, unifying the team behind shared priorities of productivity, account profitability and customer satisfaction. Maintain regular communication with team members, including conducting ongoing performance and development conversations and virtual team collaboration sessions
- Build strong and influential trusted partner relationships with senior client stakeholders to develop and maintain business plans, recruitment plans and organisational structures
Skills & Experience
· Deep knowledge of more than one market sector, product or service
· Demonstrable, deep understanding of Total Talent Solutions
· Demonstrated capability to manage a P&L
· Demonstrable ability to build a position as a trusted advisor, engage and influence senior stakeholders towards a course of action
· Experience of developing and delivering end-to-end recruitment campaign strategies. Experience enhancing recruitment processes to improve outcomes (e.g. decreased time to hire, increased quality of hire)
· Resilient under pressure - experience working to and achieving demanding targets, ratios and SLAs and working to tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment
· Experience of analysing business orientated management information. Able to use data-led insights to influence strategy and decision making
· Strong understanding of contracts, financial levers, governance frameworks, business assurance and controls
· Track record of managing complex, high-profile recruitment projects and multiple campaigns
· Agile in response to change or uncertainty - able to cope with and lead a team and client through significant change
· Demonstrable ability, and passion for people leadership, engagement and development. Able to manage, coach and develop other people managers
· Proven ability to work in a highly complex matrix organization, managing large global teams with a mix of direct and indirect reports
· Experience leading virtual/remote teams – proven ability to enable collaboration, engagement and operational excellence among dispersed team
