JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the development and delivery of a wide range of state-of-the-art products for global markets, from invention to mass production.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform design of electro-mechanical subsystems, micro-mechanisms and transmission systems
• Work with the Manufacturing team and part suppliers throughout the product cycle in a fast-paced environment
• Coordinate Fabrication and Assembly of prototype designed and pilot run articles
• Perform FMEA & carry out other design simulation required
• Review and evaluate vendors for performance
• Use computer-aided design software to create 2D technical drawings from 3D files
• Handle assignments under minimal supervision and tight schedule
• Participate in project meetings and conference calls with customers
• Discuss with customer on:

- Dimensions, tolerances and material requirements

- Critical/functional area

- Assembly and inspection methods

- Purchased parts with specific brands or models

- Aassembly drawing and BOM lists

- Revision to technical drafts based on the discussion

- Work with customers regarding accuracy, drafting standards and documentation

- Review drawings for completeness and accuracy

- Prepare engineering documents for submission to customers

- Maintain all revisions of project drawings, update and maintain drafting log

- Assist and provide all information to Sales team for quotation submission to customers

- Provide timely technical assistance and solutions to Production team

JOB-RELATED SKILLS

• Good team player with strong passion for design
• Proficient in using CAD tools like Solidworks and other simulation tools
• Simulation tools & programing skills (eg. Python) is added advantage
• At least 2 years experience
• Experience working in a metal fabrication shop or similar environment will be added advantage

Responsibilities:

• Assist the project manager with on and off site meeting pertaining to the technical issues
• Responsible for submission of Architectural samples, shops drawing and other related documents to the consultants or authorities
• Coordinate and monitor work progress at site including periodical site inspection and attending meetings during course of construction of project
• Proven problem solving and achievements work progress according to the work schedule
• Site supervision and able to coordinate well with sub-contractors, RE and RTO

Requirements:

As a Duty Engineer, you will be tasked to:

Install, maintain, perform room preventative maintenance and recommend replacement of tools, appliances, and equipment. Calibrate all controls, gauges, meters, etc. Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves. Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies as needed. Interact with guests as per The Westin Brand Standards. Maintain inventory and purchase orders log. Inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Enter and locate work-related information using computers. Operate power lift. Complete the life safety checklist, including the fire-pump run test and generator run test. Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems. Assist in development of disaster and emergency response protocols. Respond and attend to guest repair requests. Mentor and assist associates on duty. Liaise with departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, etc) on Guest Room Maintenance. Ensure timely maintenance of assets logged in Engineering System (Transcendent). Ensure Marriott Environmental Sustainability Hub (MESH) data compliance.
