Data Lake Management and Integration:

• Direct the structuring of data in the DataBricks Lakehouse to ensure optimal usability and performance.

• Oversee data partitioning, indexing, and archival strategies.

• Lead integration efforts with DataBricks Lakehouse, ensuring seamless accessibility for data scientists and analysts.

Data Quality, Validation, and Security:

• Establish comprehensive data quality frameworks and validation protocols.

• Implement and oversee security measures, including access controls, data encryption, and regular audits.

• Collaborate with compliance officers to ensure adherence to healthcare data regulations.

Performance Management and Optimization:

• Set and monitor KPIs for data ingestion pipeline performance.

• Lead optimization efforts to meet and exceed SLAs.

• Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement strategies.

Strategic Collaboration and Communication:

• Serve as the primary liaison between the data engineering team and other departments, including data science, business analytics, and IT.

• Present data engineering strategies, progress, and challenges to senior management.

• Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

• Strong technical expertise in data engineering tools and technologies, including Informatica IDMC, Spark, Python, and DataBricks.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in system implementation, ongoing maintenance, and support of existing systems, as well as providing proposals for new projects. This role will primarily serve a key customer, a prominent Japanese bank in Singapore.

Job Duties:

• System Implementation: Lead end-to-end system implementation projects, including planning, design, setup, testing, and system release.
• System Maintenance & Support: Provide troubleshooting and issue resolution for existing systems to ensure smooth operations.
• Project Proposal & Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with clients to understand requirements, evaluate solutions, and prepare detailed project proposals.

Key Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: - 8+ years in IT projects, particularly within banking or financial institutions. - 5+ years of hands-on experience in system infrastructure implementation. - 3+ years of experience working with major banks in Japan is highly preferred.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of system infrastructure, including Windows OS, Oracle Database, VMware, and other system operation products. Familiarity with JP1 or similar enterprise-level system operation tools. Proficient in programming and scripting languages (e.g., WinBatch, PowerShell).
• Language Proficiency: Advanced skills in listening, reading, writing, and speaking in both English and Japanese language to effectively communicate with clients and teams.
• Customer-Focused: Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to understand and address client needs effectively.
• Additional Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve software-related issues in collaboration with product support teams. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with experience in working cross-functionally with internal and external IT teams.
