Position Summary:

This position will be responsible for planning, engineering, executing projects related to Facilities Mechanical & Water Related Systems to meet the current and future requirements, tracking system capacity to ensure efficient operation and providing technical support to Operations & Maintenance when required.

The person will be a decision maker and self-starter who meets the challenges of daily involvement to Facilities system operation and program.

What You Will Do:

· Provide Engineering analysis and System design to ensure it meet business needs, corporate insurer’s requirements and regulatory code compliance.

· Specify and review Mechanical Engineering standards, SOPs and maintain Facilities system documents.

· To participate in the review/forecast of budget and scenario.

· To assist in the collection and compilation of data for EDMA (authority) Energy & Water submission.

· Provide technical support to Operations & Maintenance team in resolving complex Mechanical system issues.

· Provide Engineering support to EHS for their environmental/sustainability program/reporting.

· Provide Engineering support to Projects & Tool Install including preparation of Capex request.

· Assist in equipment/component qualification and selection.

· To plan and work on system improvement projects.

· To participate in Energy/Water Conservation program.

· To review Facilities System (ACMV, CHW, DI, PCW, PV, Clean rooms, CO2 level…) to ensure that they are operating within specification.

· Share engineering knowledge and skills with other team members (Building Services, EHS, Engineering, Hook up, Operation, Project....

· Evaluate work performance of the contractor.

· To track and monitor system capacity and specification.

What You Will Bring (REQUIRED Qualifications):

· Degree in Mechanical or any other engineering discipline with work experience in Facilities Engineering, DI Plant operation, Water/Waste reduction projects in a Semiconductor manufacturing environment.

· Candidates with SCEM (Singapore Certified Energy Manager) or WEM (Water Efficiency Manager) certification will be advantageous but not necessary.

· Ability to lead cross functional projects in a fast-paced work environment.

· Good knowledge in relevant Code of Practice, able to read and understand P&ID and basic Project Management skill.

· Excellent Team player, adaptable, organized, highly motivated and analytical.

· Good in communication, interpersonal skills and able to work with minimum supervision.

· Good computer knowledge and skills in Microsoft Excel, Words, Power point etc

Responsibilities

• Prepares Main Drawing List, Electrical Design Basis, Specification, and Data Sheet of Electrical Equipment
• Coordinates with multi-discipline on the interface issues with telecom, instrument, safety disciplines, etc
• Performs load calculation for the whole project and submits load list
• Conducts sizing calculation for transformers, generators, UPS and batteries etc
• Carries out cable sizing calculation to including volt drop calculation, circuit breakers sizing and others
• Executes lighting calculation as per specified lux requirement before proceeding lighting layout
• Performs load flow and short circuit calculation and relays coordination by software (EDSA, ETAP or SKM)
• Handles grounding system as per project requirement
• Supervises the designers on cable schedule, DB schedule etc
• Oversees material take off (MTO) for bulk material
• Meets clients, raises TQ, attends project meeting and attend FAT
• Reviews engineering deliverables from detailed engineering consultant / equipment vendors to ensure they are meeting Client’s specifications
• Reviews harmonics analysis, transient and stability studies, arc flash studies

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering or related engineering disciplines
• Ability to refer P&ID, logic diagrams for effective design
• Able to handle pressure and work under tight schedule
• Possess knowledge in contractual documentations
• Knowledge in 3D modelling for electrical equipment and installations

Requirements

· 5+ years of experience in software engineering or DevOps automation or data engineering

· Excellent understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns.

· Excellent programming skills in either Python or Java.

· Hands-on experience in containerization/ virtualization platforms, e.g. Docker/Kubernetes.

· Exposure to data science and machine learning technologies and methodologies.

· Good working knowledge of high performance computing, parallel data processing, and big data stack, e.g. Spark and Hadoop/Yarn.

· Experience to one or more commercial / open source data warehouses or data analytics systems, e.g. Teradata, is a big plus.

· Experience to one or more NoSQL databases is a big plus.

· Experience or Cloudera Data Science Workbench, is a big plus.

Job Description

• To manage and coordinate site involving mechanical works.
• Attend site meeting and inspection
• Preparation of detailed program for the site team to follow accordingly & completed in time.
• Coordinates between sub-contractors / vendors / internal departments and monitor site manpower / material / equipment demands to meet schedules.
• Liaise with the Consultants on the submission related to structural works and Technical Department.
• Ensuring that the site works are completed with high quality standards and adhering to safety requirements throughout the project.
• Check drawings, identify and resolve the discrepancies in between drawings and as well as those arisen during the project execution
• Help prepare as built Auto CAD drawings
