• Have strong knowledge in designing a system for BMS system.
• Able to manage project cycle independently with minimum supervision.
• Work with external parties and customers to plan, organize and direct activities concerned with assigned projects.
• Develop project schedules in compliance with customer requirements, deadlines, and/or milestones; develop mechanisms to track schedule progress in the field; and update the schedule regularly.
• Responsible for site activities, coordination and supervision works related to engineering and systems design.
• Ensure timely completion of all projects particularly the T/C schedules.
• Responsible for project management including attending meetings, coordination, design and plan out shop drawing and submission of documentation and supervision.
• Liaise with consultants, architects and contractors and handle all technical matters.
• Ensure project works compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and practices.
• Attending site meeting and coordination with stakeholders, external parties and customers to plan, organize and other related activities for the assigned projects.
• As and when to take on new assignments.

Key Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Engineering equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience
• Have full understanding of Instrumentation HVAC/ACMV control like AHU, Chillers, RCU etc.
• Knowledge of PLC programming (preferably Siemens PLC)
• Experience in SCADA software and strong knowledge of Industrial Control and Building Management System.
• Prefer relevant working experience; prefer with LTA ECS/LCS, TVS project experience.
• Prefer with IEC 61508 and LTA documentation submission.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Vetronics Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Vetronics Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of electrical and electronics systems in specialty vehicles for Defence, Public Security and commercial applications. This role demands a strong understanding of electronics, vehicle systems, and relevant automotive and/or military standards, with a focus on ensuring high performance, reliability, and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Design: Develop detailed specifications and designs for electronic systems used in vehicles. This includes high and low voltage systems, communication interfaces, and sensor integration, electrical schematics and harness design.
• System Integration: Integrate and test electronic components and systems into various vehicle platforms, ensuring interoperability with existing systems and compliance with technical requirements.
• Testing & Validation: Perform comprehensive testing and validation of vetronics systems, including functional, environmental, and stress testing, to ensure systems meet relevant standards and performance criteria.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to vehicle electrical and electronics systems. Develop and implement corrective actions and improvements as needed.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain thorough documentation of design processes, integration procedures, test results, and system configurations. Create technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs and systems adhere to relevant automotive and/or military standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Maintain awareness of changes in standards and regulations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering team, and other project team members to ensure seamless integration of electrical and electronic systems with vehicle hardware and software.
• Innovation & Improvement: Research and implement emerging technologies and innovative solutions to enhance system capabilities, performance, and reliability. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the vetronics domain.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or higher qualification is a plus.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in vetronics or a closely related field, with a proven track record in designing and integrating electronic systems for defense, military or vehicle applications.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of electronic circuit design, embedded systems, control systems, communication protocols (e.g., CAN) and sensor technologies.
• Software Skills: Proficiency with electronic circuit design tools (e.g. AutoCAD), simulation software (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink), and embedded software development tools.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues effectively.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information to diverse audiences.
• Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required by the role.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automotive and/or military vehicle standards and protocols
• Familiarity with vehicle electronics design and environmental testing procedures.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles as they apply to vehicle electronics.
• Experience with project management and leadership in a technical environment.

Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
