Job Summary

The Injection Molding Process Engineer is a "hands-on" position that plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing equipment and processes to produce high quality injection molded product. The Process Engineer is responsible for coordinating the molding efforts on new program launches, setting up and/or revising manufacturing processes and assisting the manufacturing operations in problem solving and continuous process improvements. 1. Oversee molding production operations to meet requirements of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People (SQDCP).
2. Develop a robust Molding process by applying Scientific / Decoupled Molding techniques along with Design of Experiments (DOEs).
3. Implement and evaluate changes to existing processes designed to improve product quality, productivity and overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
4. Develop and maintain process documentation ensuring that processes and procedures are clearly stated and understandable for all employees. use Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other techniques to analyze process data to determine capabilities as well as improvement on OEE
5. Implement technical solutions including statistical methodology in continuous improvement to meet customer cost, quality, and delivery expectations.
6. Demonstrated ability to start-up, operate and shut down process related equipment. Must be able to work independently on new process development as well as troubleshooting current production issues and program robots and peripheral equipment
7. Work with equipment and material vendors to resolve machine and material issues.
8. Monitor and report issues with injection molds, make recommendations for refurbishment based on production factors such as cycles, process capability and tooling history.
9. Interact with customers to resolve issues and provide new project updates.
10. Facilitate and support facility and manufacturing safety, environmental, and ergonomics efforts.

• Oversee the product quality from assembly to packaging process and ensure full compliance to the Quality System and regulation requirements.
