Qualification

Control Engineer

Main Responsibilities

• Responsible to assist in the design of controls system and programming to meet the budget and time expectations of the project.
• Able to Modify controls design and other documents according to the Standards and compliance to industry standards as according to project specification.
• Develop specific program per customer and project requirements.
• Knowledge in Allen Bradley, COMAP and Siemens-S7 programming.
• Knowledge in instruments, control valves and shutdown valves troubleshooting.
• Knowledge in various industrial communication protocols like MODBUS, Ethernet etc.
• Knowledge in control panel design as per project requirement.
• Participate in controls and validation activities, conduct test and debug, FAT and SAT.
• Work together with the Customer, Process engineer, Design Engineers and other project team members as required.
• Communication with Customer as per project requirements.
• Ability to communicate in an open, clear, precise and effective manner.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree/diploma in engineering or equivalent;
• Minimum 3 years of related work experience in oil and gas industry.
• Must be able to travel as requested.

Well-versed in retrofitting of Engine and crankshafts within time

· With enriched experience in troubleshooting of two stroke and four stroke engines

· Sound knowledge in framing and executing of scheduled maintenance plans, estimates, and contract specifications.

· Well adapted to Preventive, Conditional based Predictive & Break down maintenance of Engines and plant utilities

· Laid down SOP’s and MIS reports and have knowledge in implementation of ISO-9001 -2001, 18000 - 2007, 14000 – 2007.

· Conducted operational and performance tests on marine machinery and equipment on behalf of makers like Hyundai and Yanmar.

· Prepared technical reports for the final evaluation by regulatory and insurance bodies.

• Understanding and carrying out all tasks given by the Senior Engineer.
• Collaborating with other engineers and workers to design, develop, test, and improve products and engineering processes.
• Ensuring all expenses stay within the allocated budget.
• Performing regular inspections of equipment and scheduling maintenance or repairs.
• Providing assistance to different staff or engineering teams.
• Inspecting inventory and reporting inconsistencies as well as ordering more materials.
• Producing CAD drawings according to specifications.
• Evaluating all products and processes and ensuring standardization of quality assurance measures.
• Participating in various learning experiences, which may include attending workshops and training sessions.

Requirements:

• A completed apprenticeship or similar experience is recommended.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Practical experience using CAD software may be required.

Responsibilities

• Electrical Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define electrical system requirements, specifications, and design criteria for marine vessel propulsion and control systems.
• Commissioning and integration: Oversee the installation, integration, and testing of electrical systems on marine vessels during construction or retrofit projects.
• System Optimization and Performance Enhancement: Analyse and evaluate the performance of propulsion and control systems, identifying opportunities for optimization, efficiency improvement, and performance enhancement.
• Documentation and Reporting: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including operation manuals, maintenance guides, and as-built drawings for electrical systems.
• Regulatory Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all designed and commissioned electrical systems comply with relevant maritime regulations, industry standards, and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Min Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related.
• Min 3 years of experience in Electrical Design in Marine/ Automation/ Automotive industry.
• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) and simulation tools.
• Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, power distribution, propulsion methods, and control strategies.
