JOB PURPOSE

To support the Commercial Diving Department by performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections of leisure and commercial diving equipment. The Junior Diving Technician will ensure all equipment operates efficiently and meets safety standards, enhancing operational reliability and customer satisfaction.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Equipment Maintenance and Repair:

• Inspect, service, and repair diving regulators, BCDs, breathing air compressors, and associated equipment.

• Conduct air quality analysis for compressors to maintain safe breathing air standards.

Commercial Equipment Support:

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, and Daily Operations:

• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives for utility system operations, maintenance, and reliability programs.
• Establish key metrics to ensure optimal performance of utility operations.
• Lead and support utility projects by reviewing engineering design documentation and related drawings.
• Lead and support Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), commissioning, and system testing to meet User Specification Requirements (URS).
• Participate in system walk-downs to ensure reliable utility system operations.
• Safety and Quality Compliance Management:
• Lead and support audit readiness for regulatory inspections to ensure compliance with site and global SOPs, GEP, and GDP.
• Assist in the development, revision, review, and approval of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Risk Assessments, Preventive Maintenance Programs, and Job Plans.
• Lead and support deviation investigations, ensuring Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) are implemented to prevent recurrence.
• Lead and support change control and evaluation initiatives for continuous improvement, enhancing system reliability and operations.
• Actively promote and practice Amgen's Safety Culture.

Sustainability:

• Lead and support the site sustainability program, analyzing energy consumption data, benchmarking overall usage, and identifying opportunities for optimization.
• Lead and support the development of business cases to drive sustainability targets for the site.
• Generate utility consumption data for regulatory authority submissions.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with high computer literacy
• Strong team player, able to effectively work within and across teams
• Fluency in communications skills, both oral and written, including presentation skills
• Familiar with documentation in a highly regulated environment
• Interpersonal and facilitation skills necessary to forge consensus among competing client interests while ensuring objectives are met

Required Qualifications

• Minimum Degree in Engineering or Science Disciplines
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a related field / Pharmaceutical Industry
• Proven track record in following and promoting Safety in all aspects of your role
• Strong process and automation knowledge, adequate knowledge in utility and HVAC
• Project management / coordination experience
• Proactive and self-motivated
• Adequate knowledge on cGMP and other regulatory requirements, guidelines and industry best practices
• Be IT literate and familiar with Microsoft office suite of applications
• Demonstrated proficiency of written and verbal communication skills in English (including technical writing and presentations) with ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with technical and senior management staff

Collaboration with cross-functional teams and adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards are key aspects of this role to ensure the successful delivery of validation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and complete critical validation activities, including equipment and utilities qualification, facility qualification (aligned with EU Annex 1), and thermal mapping for controlled temperature chambers to ensure precise temperature control and compliance.
• Perform thorough thermal mapping as part of the qualification process for temperature-controlled chambers, ensuring that all temperature conditions are validated according to industry and regulatory standards.
• Develop and support the creation of essential validation documentation, such as Risk Assessments, plans, protocols, and reports.
• Apply a science-driven and risk-based approach to all validation activities.
• Analyze, interpret, and summarize data from thermal mapping and other validation studies to ensure compliance and operational accuracy.
• Investigate and support the resolution of deviations or non-conformities identified during thermal mapping or other validation activities.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including cross-functional teams, clients, and corporate functions, to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Guarantee the safety, quality, and timely completion of thermal mapping and validation projects.
• Ensure adherence to validation lifecycle processes (e.g., URS, FAT/SAT, commissioning, IO/PQ protocols) and compliance with international regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor`s degree in a science or engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical CQV.
• Strong understanding of validation lifecycle processes and regulatory guidelines.
• Familiarity with industry best practices for equipment and utilities qualification.
