• Accountable for the fluent/organized presentation, content correctness/accuracy of shop drawings production in form, fit, and function through thorough coordinates with other trades and services in 2D/ 3D submission.
• Responsible for ensuring full compliance with the company’s Shop Drawings Standard Operation Procedure, including adherence to design provision/scope of work according to contractual obligations.
• Generate a clash report based on the Matrix provided
• Work under the supervision of the Project Manager and perform the work tasks assigned.

Experience / Skills

• Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant disciplines.
• Preferably with a minimum of 2 years of working experience in space planning, and design coordination, preferably on different scales of projects within engineering design consulting business.
• Having good knowledge of software such as Revit, and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge in Isometric drawings, LOD 350, and Plant 3D will be added advantages

Requirements:

Position Overview:

The Design Engineer will be part of the Central Project Engineering team supporting our aftermarket pump upgrade and retrofit design engineering jobs across the Asia Pacific region. This position will provide technical support in retrofit proposals, hydraulic and engineering analysis, and order fulfilment jobs.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Perform mechanical design work to create engineering drawings based on sound engineering practices, and if required, precision measurements.

2. Perform technical calculations to support high order value upgrade jobs/ root cause analysis

3. Support order fulfillment of the successful upgrade and retrofit jobs by attending kick-off meetings and managing design workload.

4. Review customer orders to ensure they are acceptable relative to the engineering design work scope and delivery previously proposed.

5. Interact with Central Project Engineering teams in other regions and Product Engineering in respective Business Units to leverage on their expertise to develop the scope of work to upgrade pumping equipment.

6. Provide technical support to the Solutions Engineering and Quick Response Center (QRC) teams for pump upgrades and/or repairs, and assure that the proposed solution meets technical and performance requirements of customers in a professional and timely manner.

7. Understand the nature and purpose of the pump upgrade and evaluate the customer operational requirements in accordance with design specifications and standards.

8. Support preparation of Aftermarket Change Notice (ACN) related to scope of work involved in order fulfillment of the successful upgrade and retrofit jobs.

9. Develop personal skills through regular attendance to a selection of technical training modules.

· Supervise projects onsite ensuring work adhere to safety regulations, work schedule and progress and quality.

· Monitoring and reporting of work progress.

· Able to coordinate with workers and other Contractors on site.
