• To lead the development and curation of community enabling and patient education programmes, training curriculum and learning and assessment tools to meet the needs and to build capabilities of volunteers, caregivers, residents and healthcare professionals (allied health professionals, pharmacists and nurses). This includes curriculum development, programme evaluation, continuous up-skilling of volunteer carers with the necessary knowledge and tools to equip them for leadership positions in co-creation of programmes, and integration of carers in NHG’s caring communities’ network.
• To provide a conducive environment where healthcare professionals (allied health professionals, pharmacists and nurses) and social care professionals can co-learn and co-design new healthcare innovations with the users of the healthcare system i.e. patients, advocates, volunteers and caregivers.
