Marine NavCom Service Engineer

• 5 days | 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, or 9:00 am to 6:00 pm

Job Purpose
Install, troubleshoot, and service marine navigation and communication systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in marine navigation and communication systems
• Proficiency in MARINE RADAR, chartplotters, ECDIS, AIS, VDR, VHF radios, and VSAT systems
• Strong knowledge of IT/networking principles and protocols
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance
• Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently

Key Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and service MARINE RADAR, chartplotters, ECDIS, AIS, VDR, VHF radios, and VSAT systems
• Conduct regular maintenance checks and inspections
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
• Provide technical support and guidance to onboard crew members

• Background in field service management, including supervisory responsibilities, strong problem-solving abilities, and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the handling and receiving of all inventories from loading dock to main store
• Responsible for ensuring that all minibar trolleys are fully stocked prior to operations.
• Responsible for the recording of expiry dates for all inventories received
• Collating of all expired items from the towers
• Responsible for the ad-hoc service request from operational team / Minibar controller.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education & Certification

• Minimum education with ‘O’ Level passes

Experience

• Minimum 1 year in a guest service / guest contact / food and beverage/ logistics role preferably in a hospitality organization

Competencies

• Able to work on rotating shifts, weekends & public holidays
• Possess a well-groomed, professional appearance

• Fix equipment and carry out maintenance works at customers' premises
• Liaise with the customers and sub-contractors to facilitate the maintenance

Requirements:

• Nitec in Electronic or Electrical Engineering
• 2 years of hands-on experience in carrying out off-site trouble shooting of any electrical and electronics system.
