Job Responsibilities

1. 3. Monitors the superintendent engineers' visits on the vessels in order to check and evaluate their condition and maintenance progress; to issue further instructions on maintenance and repair activities; to file, record and report findings to the Technical Director.

4. Reviews and evaluates quotations for all technical spares, supplies, repair services, lubricants, paints, and engine stores to be purchased and authorizes the purchase order depending on the costs.

5. Cooperates closely with the claims department for the process of damage claims and collect all necessary technical information in order to provide technical back-up in support of such claims.

6. Informs immediately the Technical Director in case of emergency.

7. Coordinates and liaises with other departments within the company to collectively provide an efficient ship management service. The Deputy Technical Manager is responsible for all technical operational activities for building/ civil & infrastructure engineering projects, managing the technical department as well as providing engineering & planning services for tender and support services to projects.
