The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and support at customer sites. This role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Commissioning
· Perform installation, setup, and commissioning of maritime equipment and systems onboard vessels or at customer facilities.
· Conduct functional testing and calibration to ensure systems meet operational requirements.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
· Diagnose and resolve technical issues on mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
· Conduct scheduled and preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
· Prepare detailed service reports and recommend corrective actions.
Customer Support
· Provide technical advice and training to customers to ensure proper system operation.
· Act as the primary point of contact for technical support during and after project completion.
Compliance & Documentation
· Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
· Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and parts inventory.
Collaboration
· Liaise with internal teams (sales, engineering, and procurement) to ensure seamless service delivery.
· Provide feedback to improve product design, reliability, and customer experience.
