Your new role:

Reporting to the Head of Shipping, this role is responsible for operational matters on the assigned vessels, working closely with the Chartering team. You will support the smooth conduct of daily operations together with the other members of the operations department. The Shipping Operator role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities critical to vessel operations and chartering activities. This includes monitoring and updating vessel movements, managing post-fixture activities, and maintaining accurate records in the system. You will manage day-to-day chartering tasks, including handling the preparation and administration of charter parties and related fixture documentation. Key responsibilities also include P&L management, interim port and demurrage calculations, bunker purchasing, and negotiation. Additionally, you will liaise with vessels to optimize operations and stowage planning while maintaining a comprehensive database of vessel positions. With a solid understanding of market practices and charter party terms, you will manage cost exposures effectively.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in shipping industry (tanker operations preferred).

• Strong written and verbal communication.

• Based in Singapore.
