Ideally the successful candidate will possess at least 7 years' PQE experience in shipping asset finance in order to undertake the work and responsibility entailed in this role.

About you

We are seeking a candidate who is/has:

• Qualified in England and Wales and/or any other similar common law jurisdiction
• Ideally has at least 5 - 7 years' post-qualification relevant working experience in an international law firm
• Experienced in a broad range shipping asset finance work including ship leasing, sale and purchase, novation, operating lease, lease extension, release of security, purchase leaseback and novation, acquisition and financing, co-leasing, etc
• Capable of taking the lead in the execution of sizeable client engagements
• Attention to detail and demonstrates good practical case handling skills
• Able to work under pressure and handle concurrent tasks
• A team player with good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Confident, is willing to learn and take on responsibility at assigned tasks, whilst understanding it is okay to ask for support and guidance
• Efficient, organised, and can demonstrate excellent time management skills
• Personable and able to communicate comfortably with colleagues and clients
