Job Description

• Working Hours: 5.5 working days (Mon to Fri 8 AM – 5 PM, Sat half day)

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily construction activities, ensuring works progress according to the project schedule, design, and safety standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to construction workers, subcontractors, and other engineers on-site.
• Ensure that construction methods and materials used meet project specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other team members to ensure smooth and successful execution of the project.
• Conduct regular inspections of construction activities to ensure the quality of work meets industry standards and the specific requirements of the project.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

• Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering or related qualification
• Has experience with the Land Transport Authority (LTA), Strategic Planning Policy Group (SPPG), or Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA)
• Prior experience with road and airfield runway construction and resurfacing is required
• Proficient in MS Office
• A class 3 driving license is required

• Working Location: Kallang
• Working Hours: 5 days (Mon – Fri, 8.30 am – 6.30 pm)
• Salary Package: Basic salary $4,000 + Variable Bonus
• Duration: Permanent Role

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate daily tracking of worker attendance, including clock-in and clock-out times.
• Provide strong leadership and guidance to the team of workers, ensuring smooth and efficient operations on the customer site.
• Assign tasks and duties based on individual team members' strengths and project requirements to optimize productivity.
• Communicate job roles, expectations, and deadlines clearly to all team members, ensuring they understand their responsibilities.
• Motivate and encourage the team to meet and exceed productivity targets while maintaining high morale within the group.
• Oversee and monitor the quality of work performed by team members to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to company standards.
• Act as the primary contact for resolving any conflicts or issues among team members or with customers, ensuring a positive work environment.
• Address disputes quickly and fairly, promoting harmony within the team. Escalate major concerns to upper management when necessary, while proposing practical solutions.
• Ensure the availability of necessary tools, equipment, and resources for the team to perform their duties efficiently.
• Execute any new assignments as directed by the superior, adjusting to the needs of the project or operations.

• NITEC or Diploma qualification in an engineering-related field
• Proven experience in a supervisory or engineering role, preferably in a similar setting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.

• Responsible for organizing, filing, maintaining, updating and delivering Project documentation.
• Prepare, correct, present and issue documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as requested by Line Manager; Prepare recapitulation of timesheet, overtime, expense and holidays of department members.
• Explain within project team and execute policies of company working hour statistics, HR, Finance, and other management policies.
• Organize and attend project meetings, prepare and issue meeting minutes when necessary.
• Responsible for project/site teams necessary communication within department.
• Prepare, update department staff’s name list, contact point and regular communication tasks assigned by line manager.
• Provide administrative and secretarial assistance and support to the line Manager and other team members or customers.
• Liaison with local regulators for the mandatory reporting or communications.
• Complete other tasks assigned by superiors

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management or related field.
• At least 1~2 year work experience as assistant Project/Site Assistant for Oil & Gas, Chemical or refinery construction project.
• Good team-work spirit, with rigorous and positive working attitude.
