   Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget by monitoring the progress and addressing delays promptly.
   
5. Material and Equipment Management:Ensure that construction materials and equipment are delivered to the site on time and are in good condition.
   Monitor and control inventory, avoiding waste and shortages.
   Oversee the proper maintenance of construction tools and equipment.
   
6. Team Management:Lead, motivate, and manage a team of construction workers, providing direction and support where necessary.
   Conduct regular performance reviews of team members and provide training or guidance as needed.
   Resolve conflicts or issues between workers, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
   

Requirements:

1. Education and Experience:A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
   Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction supervision or a related role.
   Proven experience with construction methods, materials, tools, and equipment.
   In-depth knowledge of safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and quality control.

Position overview

Hitachi Asia Ltd. is searching for a Deputy Site Service Manager to join the Particle Therapy Systems Division for its Proton Beam Therapy (PBT*) project at National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS).

(*) The PBT System is the most advanced radiotherapy system composed of a particle accelerator, rotating gantry and its control systems etc.

The Deputy Site Service Manager will be responsible for daily technical operation and maintenance of the PBT system installed at National Cancer Centre Singapore and will lead a team “Service and Maintenance Organization (SMO)” and supervise its activities. The Deputy Site Service Manager will be a primary contact point for the customer and Hitachi teams for any troubleshooting at site.

• Managing and supervising staff and contractors.
• Acting as the point of contact for employees, clients, and vendors to ensure smooth and efficient site operations.
• Ensuring availability and good working order of necessary equipment, supplies, and manpower.
• Arranging training for new employees and contractors.
• Ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and containers for production supply and export loading.
• Supporting the office team with documentation (e.g., SI, BL, and permit submission).
• Providing support and backup to the Sea Freight team.
• Handling month-end billing for manpower, container stuffing, and ad hoc services.
• Scheduling and ensuring timely task completion.
• Coordinating with logistics teams for timely shipment of finished products.
• Coordinating with engineering teams to improve manufacturability.
• Troubleshooting production problems with real-time solutions.
• Assessing and updating risk assessments.
• Ensuring safety and security protocols are in place and adhered to.
• Overseeing budget and contract compliance.
• Updating and monitoring container inventory (import and export) and managing timely supply to productions.
• Maintaining master data of barley and starch types, including lead time, vendor information, and safety stocks.
• Keeping accurate records and documentation related to site activities.

Job Requirement:

• Candidate must possess at least O" Level
• Minimum 3 year of experience in shipping industry/manufacturing industry
• Responsible and committed team player
• Motivated individual and possesses good planning and follow-up skills
• Able to handle high volume of workload in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall project site management, planning, and execution
• Administer all site works including contract administration, management of delivery, and progress of the project to ensure the quality of work and safety regulations are compiled according to BCA/MOM requirements
• To attend site meetings, attend client's briefing/site measurement
• To ensure the profit margin is achieved the set target accordingly
• Receives requests; obtains estimates; updates records initiates paperwork to maintain proper documentation and follows up on requests for approval of work not previously covered in the contract; processes and obtains approval of contract changes.
• Handover submission arrangement with the drafter team and project team
• Liaising with authorities, clients, Main-contractor, and consultants to resolve any contractual matters.
• Checking and ensuring all plans and works are per specifications.
• Resolving any technical problems/difficulties that may arise on site.

Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in any related field
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in residential / A&A development projects.
• Experience in infrastructural projects and construction-related works will be an advantage
