Job Requirements:

1. Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or its equivalent.

2. Minimum 3 yrs experience in Construction Industry.

• To prepare the site for work, which may include taking on staff, planning the work schedules, and establishing on site offices, in accordance to the objectives established by the Site Manager.
• Laying down the preferred construction methods.
• Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
• Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
• Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
• Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
• Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues

Requirements and skills

• At least 10 years related working experience in Building Construction
• In-depth understanding of RC structure work, expert in Formwork and Rebar.
• Well known in construction procedures and material and project management principles
• Working hours 6 days per week
• Strong construction background to discuss and advise technical matters with Main and Sub Contractors.
• Excellent Communication skills and highly organized, driven and conscientious.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin in order to communicate and engage with Mandarin speaking customers

Monitor the progress of construction projects and ensure compliance with construction safety regulations.

Supervise construction workers and subcontractors, educate construction workers on site safety practices, and evaluate employee performance.

Ensure that all tasks are completed on time, within budget and adhere to project requirements.

Job Duties

• Supervise workers and sub-contractors to ensure works are carried out as per schedule and in good quality.
• Project Management to achieve smooth project implementation and completion.
• Support Manager for Project Costing and re-engineering to increase project profit margin, preparation of monthly progress claim and expenditure budget control.
• Support Team in the Testing and Commissioning of project team and conduct training to customers after completion of project.
• Provide technical support to customers and site project team in the selection of equipment for the project.
• Involve in technical discussion, progress meeting with client, M& E consultant and main or sub-contractors.
• Assist the Safety Coordinator / Safety Officer In charge of the Project Safety System planning, assessment and implementation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Related Academic Achievements in Engineering (Electrical) or Building Services
• Min. 2 years relevant experience at local construction site.
• Strong project management experience in related Electrical Installation projects (especially on turnkey and A&A works) with strong technical knowledge and site experience.
• Able to communicate effectively with all levels of people and possess strong leadership quality and high initiative character.
• Able to communicate well in English and Mandarin.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project softwares
• Motivated, responsible with positive attitude and able to work under pressure and stress.
• This position requires the successful candidate to be onsite mostly.
• This position requires the successful candidate to work during after office hours sometimes due to project schedule.

2) Design and Engineering –collaborating with the design team to ensure that the designs are workable and meet technical specifications.

3) Safety and Compliance –Ensures that all work is carried out following safety regulations and industry best practices.

4) Quality Control –Monitors the quality of work being done, conducts inspections and ensures that the work meet the required quality standards.

5) Procurement - Required to be involved in the procurement of necessary equipment, materials and components for the project.

6) Resource Management - Responsible for coordinating resources, including general labour, equipment and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.

7) Problem Solving – When unexpected challenges and issues arise. The Manager plays a crucial role in identifying and resolving these problems.
