The Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health and integrity of an organization. This role involves managing all aspects of financial transactions, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The Accounts Manager works closely with various departments within the organization to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Financial Reporting:Prepare and analyze financial statements on a regular basis, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Provide financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and financial trends.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:Develop annual budgets in collaboration with department heads and management.
Monitor budget performance and variance analysis, identifying areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.
Forecast future financial trends and outcomes based on historical data and market analysis.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer invoicing.
Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely payments.
Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and customers to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Cash Management:Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure sufficient funds are available for operational needs.
Develop and implement cash management strategies to optimize cash utilization and minimize financial risk.
Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for banking transactions and account management.
- Compliance and Auditing:Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards. Coordinate with auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities.
Conduct performance evaluations and training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the team.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the accounting department.
Requirements:
- FMCG Background is a MUST.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience (5 years) in accounting or finance roles, with at least X years in a managerial position.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting techniques.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in team management.
