Job Purpose

The WREF & EHS, Site Lead is responsible for the management and delivery of workplace, infrastructure and services at the commercial sites encompassing Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam, and ensuring that these supports and facilitate all business operations. The role provides senior leadership and direction to their organisation (contract partners), delivering a coherent, joined up approach to employee experience and aligning to their customers business strategy.

The Site Lead will serve as the primary liaison with the businesses at the site level, or stakeholders. The infrastructure and services at the site level are provided by contract partners, and as such, the Site Lead will ensure effective local governance of contracted relationships.

This role will be charged with developing the business plan for the site portfolio, on-boarding new sites and delivering the WREF aspirations within the region in partnership with the COEs. The incumbent will be instrumental in standardizing WREF services and driving performance across the sites within each region.

EHS

• Establish and implement commercial EHS management system at the site location(s) to ensure compliance with local EHS legislation and GSK global EHS standards.
• Facilitate regular commercial EHS council meeting joint by all relevant functions to discuss EHS concerned areas, to prioritize actions; to ensure appropriate resources and plans are in place.
• Work closely with compliance officers to ensure commercial EHS risk has been identified and mitigated properly.

Key Responsibilities

WREF

• To be responsible for the designated service delivery and its ongoing development across the relevant site or region.
• To establish and develop key relationships with senior GSK management and the service providers to enable to successful delivery of cost savings and service level agreements at the site or regional level.
• To be responsible for the local contract governance and delivery to ensure value and efficiencies at the site or regional level
• · Identify and/or support the successful delivery of all capital/ revenue projects across the region or site including infrastructure, business driven, or workplace initiatives by means of third party resources.
• Ensure uninterrupted delivery of all facility operations to the business through internal and contract resources.
• Act as key GSK contact with external community, government, or other agencies at a regional, site or local level.

• Establish employee health programs to promote healthy work environment and mental wellbeing.

- Ensure the reliability and normal operation of multiple core systems for big data and online computing, while paying attention to system capacity and stability;

- Build automated operation solutions for large-scale systems; cooperate with the system development team to ensure system reliability throughout the entire life cycle from system design to launch;

- Enhance system visibility by monitoring system component availability and performance metrics to help system development and teams quickly locate faults;

- Promote the reliability, scalability and Performance optimization of the service to ensure the system SLA ;

- Participate in the design and implementation of an automated platform that can ensure the rapid iteration of large-scale online clusters;

- Based on business usage scenarios, provide in-depth optimization of the best service governance practices, including but not limited to critical link performance bottleneck analysis, business problem location and troubleshooting, and promotion of system high availability architecture transformation and upgrading;

- Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialised utility programs

- Analyse user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis;

- Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and direct software testing and validation procedures;

- Work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Computer Science or related field

- Solid computer software basic knowledge; understand Linux operating system, storage, network IO and other related principles;

- Familiar with one or more programming languages, such as Python/Go/Java/Shell/Ansible;

- Have the ability to solve problems systematically, good communication skills and a sense of ownership;

-Relevant computing/distributed/big data system experience is preferred (Nginx/Kubernetes/Docker/OpenStack/Hadoop/Spark/Flink,etc.);

- Those with algorithmic thinking, good data structure and system design skills are preferred.
