Senior Project Engineer is responsible for assisting the Project Manager on the progress of the projects/site works and manpower related aspects of the project. He/She is to oversee drawing management and make sure the updated drawings to the clients and subcontractor are issued. This also includes planning and coordinating technical engineering initiatives to make sure a project can be completed within budget and according to schedule, while upholding project standards by researching compliance regulations, developing project implementation plans and adjusting specifications for elements of a project.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule work sequences for construction operation
• To study tender / construction drawings, specifications and contracts to understand project requirements
• Liaise with consultants, clients & main/sub-contractors and coordinate for site activities arrangement, design submission and work progress supervision
• Perform site inspection (excavation, structural, casting) and ensure that the work is carried out based on the project specification and construction drawing / final approved drawing from authorities
• Lead a team of supervisors / foreman for works coordination with main/subcontractors and/or authorities and/or consultant on project progress and technical issues
• Assist in preparation of method statement and construction sequence for project implementation
• Assist Project Manager in Project Costing, monthly progress claims and monthly progress report
• Support Quantity Surveyor (QS) in verifying progress payments and claims
• Coordinating the handing-over of completed works to the client and completion of the necessary rectification works

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possesses Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 3-6 years of working experience in the related field is required

• Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response efforts
• Drive postmortem processes and implement systematic improvements
• Collaborate with development teams to improve system reliability, performance, and efficiency
• Build and maintain tools and frameworks to automate routine operations
• Contribute to capacity planning and performance optimization initiatives
• Champion SRE best practices and mentor junior team members

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or similar roles
• Golang is an added advantage
• Cloudflare deep knowledge
• CNCF cert preferred, familiar with Rancher K8s control engine
• Know how to properly use KMS like Hashicorp vault enterprise
• Deep knowledge in ETL
• Strong knowledge of monitoring systems, logging infrastructure, and observability tools
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and distributed systems
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex production issues
• Experience with high-volume, distributed systems in a production environment
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with global teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with chaos engineering practices
• Contributions to open-source projects
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization
