About The Team

Our Recommendation Architecture Team is responsible for building up and optimizing the architecture for our recommendation system to provide the most stable and best experience for our TikTok users.

On the SRE team of Recommendation Architecture, you'll have the opportunity to sharpen your expertise in coding, performance analysis, large-scale system operation, and get heavily involved in the process of hardware/capacity decision-making.

SRE ensures that the recommendation services at ByteDance have the highest level of availability, as well as creating highly automated systems and pipelines.

Responsibilities

- Reliability and operation optimization for large-scale clusters of TikTok Recommendation System.

- Continuous integration and delivery of core services, optimizing the efficiency and automation of operation, and improving service stability and R&D efficiency.

- Cloud platformization, resource optimization and SLA guarantee for large-scale clusters.

- Collaboration with software engineer to design and implement DevOps solutions to Improve the efficiency of the entire R&D process.

- Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialised utility programs.

- Analyse user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

- Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and direct software testing and validation procedures.

- Work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, software engineering, or a related field

- Operation experience of large-scale systems, familiar with system operation skills on Linux and network.

- Good programming experience with at least one of the following languages: Shell/Python/Perl/Go/C++.

- Expertise in analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.

- At least 3 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide timely and effective technical support for application-related incidents and service requests.Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, both independently and in collaboration with development teams.

Requirements:

• Must be Singapore Citizen or Singapore PR.
• Must have minimum 5 years relevant working experience.
• Strong technical knowledge and experience in supporting enterprise-level applications.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting application issues, performing log analysis, and using monitoring tools.
• Experience with databases and SQL query language.
• Familiar with software development life cycle (SDLC) and ITIL principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Occasionally required to work late hours (to support application deployment) and weekends (to support UAT)

Job Description:
This role supports the team in selecting locations for data centers, coordinating projects, and ensuring smooth progress. Key responsibilities include evaluating and assessing potential sites, managing documentation, reviewing contract terms, tracking project progress, and facilitating effective communication and coordination within the team and with stakeholders. The position is ideal for candidates with industrial real estate experience and familiarity with Singapore's industrial areas, offering a supportive and proactive role.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the team in selecting data center locations, including site evaluation, information collection, and analysis.
2. Manage internal team documentation, including contract organization, clause review, and proper project data archiving.
3. Track project progress, manage timelines, and ensure projects are executed as planned.
4. Coordinate communication between internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation.
5. Provide support for site selection activities, leveraging knowledge of Singapore’s industrial areas and relevant processes to aid decision-making.

Requirements:

1. Diploma or above, preferably with a background in engineering, electrical, or civil engineering.
2. At least 1 year of experience as a project coordination specialist, business specialist, or inside sales representative.
3. At least 1 year of experience in industrial real estate (e.g., logistics, factories, warehouses), focusing on leasing or sales transactions.
4. Familiarity with Singapore's industrial areas and a strong understanding of the basic requirements and processes of industrial real estate leasing.
5. Strong coordination skills, logical thinking, teamwork, initiative, and accountability.
6. Fluency in both Chinese and English for work purposes (strong spoken communication, written skills can be slightly weaker).
7. Technical expertise is not mandatory, but knowledge of electrical or civil engineering is a plus.
