Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Fundraising Manager to lead and execute our fundraising efforts. This individual will oversee all aspects of fundraising and donor relationship building while supporting leadership in shaping the future of our organization.

The role encompasses managing key functions such as gift stewardship and administration, data management, and prospect research. This individual will manage and oversee donor and prospect databases, develop and implement policies, and coordinate gift processing and stewardship to ensure the timely acknowledgment of all contributions.

In addition, this individual will support event management, development communications, annual giving campaigns, major gift initiatives, and outreach efforts. Responsibilities include managing donor events, crafting compelling development stories, facilitating meetings, and implementing decisions made by the CEF Fundraising Committee.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Fundraising strategy and planning

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet organisation’s financial goals.
• Identify new opportunities for revenue streams, including major gifts, corporate sponsorships, grant funding, and donor campaigns.
• Set annual fundraising targets and track progress against goals.

2. Donor / Funder Relationship Management

• Oversee all aspects of donor stewardship, including managing the donor reporting schedule, fostering donor engagement, and coordinating donor communication.
• Prepare grant proposals, applications, and reports to secure and retain funding.
• Maintain compliance with funder requirements and deadlines.

3. Event and Campaign Management

• Oversight of donor engagement at all official CEF events (including invite list).
• Play lead role in executing plans for events inclusive of budgeting, project scheduling, programme development, venue sourcing, preparing administrative briefs and ensuring a smooth programme for internal and external stakeholders.

4. Development Communications Support

• Assist in developing stories and content to engage community, donors, and stakeholders. This includes social media, videos, collateral and website management.
• Design and craft proposals that align with the funding priorities of CEF.
• Collaborate with Operations team in producing regular donor annual report.

5. Outreach Matters

• Oversee outreach events.
• As required, work with other administrative teams on cross‐functional projects as well as shared duties.

6. Data Management

• Manage all aspects of donor and prospect database and serve as the point person for all data management matters.
• Track and analyse fundraising performance.
• Oversee all resources relating to fundraising related statistics and prepare regular reports for senior management and Board.

7. Prospect Research

• Assist in identifying and qualification of prospective major gift donors.
• Collaborate closely with the Fundraising Committee on developing cultivation plans for prospective donors.
• Oversee and manage the donor pipeline.

8. Any other ad hoc duties as and when assigned.

Requirements

Technical Competencies and Work Experience:

• A good university degree, preferably in marketing, communications or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including ability to effectively communicate with donors and prospects.
• Microsoft Office applications. (Office 365 – Words, Excel etc.)
• Able to work under pressure and meet datelines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in fund raising development or related roles in non-profit sector.

Job Descriptions:

1. Reporting to the CFO and as an individual contributor in this position,
2. Responsible for group level financial reporting and consolidation (more than 10 entities across Asia, Europe and US, and expanding)
3. Maintain accuracy of intercompany & related party loans and transactions.
4. Prepare monthly financial statements and cash flow projections, ensure key balance sheet accounts are timely reconciled, as well as maintain accounting policies and ensure standardization of accounting practices across the group.
5. Revenue recognition is also an essential part of the role as you will attend to queries pertaining to project milestones, revenue calculations, and prepare annual inter-company charging across the group.
6. Be responsible in supporting regional finance teams in Tax, working closely with the Group Tax team and external consultants, supporting in transfer pricing study and TP structure set up.
7. review of consolidated financial statements for the group, managing the monthly consolidation process, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
8. To work closely with regional finance teams and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis.
9. Participating in the implementation of group level system implementation and data migration projects, leading process improvements for group consolidation at the corporate level
10. Streamlining intercompany processes through automation.

Requirements:

1. Minimum Degree in Accounting or ACCA certified

2. Strong SAP, Excel Knowledge

2. Prior Big 4 aduit firm background and Commercial sector experience required

3. Must have hands-on Consolidation exposure (comfortable with managing consolidation using Excel)

4. Understanding / appreciation of Revenue Recognition will be advantageous (e.g. revenue recognition based on project milestones & completion)

5. Desired traits: Driven, flexible, independent, hands-on, ability to work with stakeholders from diversified background

6. Min 10 years post-qualification in a multi-national company – complex accounting, preferably in a similar sector
