Job Responsibilities

1. Mosque Annual Action Plan

General Duties

Resident Management

• Co-lead with Residential Care staff to ensure the resident’s safety, health & positive behaviour when they are in the Home and during outings & appointments.

Monitor the residents to ensure that they are present in SBP, house or the activity you are supervising (or their whereabouts are known to you when they are not at the Home) and double check, communicate and give permission for residents to leave areas or activities under your supervision when it is requested or required.

b. Ensure that they follow and adhere to the structure in SBP.

c. Monitor the residents to ensure that they are physically safe and do not partake in any risky behaviour or activities which may cause themselves or others physical injury – especially during playtime.

d. Monitor & report to the Management of SBP of any complaints from residents, family members, volunteers or visitors to the Home.

e. Monitor & report to the Management of SBP of any signs or suspicions of physical, sexual or emotional abuse or self-harm.

f. Monitor & manage the behaviour of the residents by encouraging & rewarding good behaviour and by preventing, discouraging or discipline misbehaviour in strict adherence to the rules & discipline procedures of the Home.

g. Supervise residents and teach rules and provide reminders about safe touch & unsafe touch; and check in with residents to flag any behavioural concerns and issues.

The Metta Home for the Disabled and Metta Home Day Activity Centre (慈光乐陶苑及智障日间活动中心) were set up in December 2000 to offer community care options to adults with intellectual disabilities who are aged between 18 and 55.

Funded by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS), the former is a purpose-built facility designed to accommodate 103 residents, whereas the latter is supported under the MSF and Tote Board Social Service Fund to provide day care services for a capacity of 50 beneficiaries.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Social Work Support:

• Review and update means testing results and subsidy levels of clients.
• Assist in monitoring outcome management and client satisfaction data.
• Conduct home and hospital visits to support the Registered Social Worker.
• Assist in the application process for relevant assistance schemes and community resources for clients and caregivers.
• Support in caregiver and staff training for psycho-educational programs or workshops.
• Assist the Registered Social Worker with client admissions, discharges, and case conferences.
• Ensure compliance with MSF/SG Enable guidelines and requirements.
• Handle MFEC card applications for ADH clients.

2. Administrative Support:

• Assist in meeting audit and licensing requirements for both DACs and ADH.
• Maintain client databases, case files, and funding/subsidy records.
• Prepare and submit VWOTS.
• Submit monthly financial reports to HQ for ADH and both DACs.

3. Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in community and volunteer events to build partnerships.
